I feel pretty damn stupid right now lol, I only just tried to start cheating like a week ago and I got frozen this morning! Less than an hour after finally painting one of my ~dream pets~ (never liked that phrase but it's accurate) that I've wanted since I was a kid and had been working legit-ly towards for months, too

 

So here's the basic idea of what happened. I downloaded the codex program manager about a week or two ago and decided to give it a try. I was mostly just using some of the smaller programs like the kacheek seek autoplayer and the account pricer for convenience's sake. I also used the attic ABer once but then stopped because it wasn't working very well and uh, I kind of enjoy legit restocking anyways haha.

 

So then I decide to try score senders, I was thinking "I will be on the safe side while I try to test this out!" so I only ran the score sender like three times total on different days. The first time I sent some realistic 1k scores in games that I usually play anyways. Next day, I did basically the same except I included a (bronze) trophy score on a game I like. And on the last day I did a few more 1k scores, including on the daily featured game (not one I normally play, but I played it once legit and then gave it two scores around 800/900np worth with an extra-long delay based of that time so it would look like I was getting the hang of the game). In total I probably only sent about 20 scores. Two of them were reviewed and accepted, one of which was the trophy score. I also happened to get a completely legit score reviewed and accepted during this period of time.

 

Fast forward a little bit. Yesterday I decided to start posting in the forums here and I spent quite some time reading through a lot of the guides. I realized I wasn't doing the score-sending very well and that I should stay away from review scores if at all possible. And I was thinking to myself "Alright, I did a little messing around on the main with my regular IP but from now on I should make a shell account and use proxies and so on to be safe"... and then BAM, frozen for "cheating on the flash games" this morning.

 

Trying to figure out what went wrong, I think I might have screwed up the delay times on the score sending? I would put them in like:

0s, realistic 1k score

120s, similar score

and so on.

I was thinking I did not need to put a delay on the first score because there would have hypothetically been time for me to achieve the score before I started the program. But did I do this wrong? Can TNT actually measure how long the flash game is open and see that I got that score in 0 seconds?

Oh and also I made a whole lot of my times be these fairly regular multiples of ten or five before I realized "wait, that's not very realistic". That was kind of stupid, no idea what I was thinking there.

 

So that's what happened, now here are my questions...

• If I send tickets to TNT with all the information I can muster and cry "no I didn't cheat I promise plz help," will I look fairly credible? Or is it extremely obvious that I cheated, and I should just not bother? If there's NO chance of getting the account back, I don't want to go to all the effort of making a ticket.
• Only my main account was frozen, not the side accounts which are registered to the same email address. Would TNT frown on me making one of those a new main, or transferring pets from it to a new main, when the old main has been frozen?

If you sent a score with a 0s wait time then yea you'll get frozen, you have to calculate how many minutes it takes to play the game legit and divide it by 60 for seconds and then add a range of seconds.

 

example 5 minutes = 300 seconds, 10 minutes = 600 seconds and so on.

 

Edit: It seems you learned your lesson, but again to reiterate that you CAN get frozen for using any of the programs here, and you can get frozen for not using them. TNT is tricky. Take the time to read through all the SS guides before you start again. When in doubt, ask for help.

You're not getting your account back... 

 

If you sent a score in 0 seconds, you cheated. Simple. 

 

EDIT:

 

The time you put in sends the information to neopets. 

 

The time is "clicked start game, played game, clicked send"

It's the time between start game and clicking send. 

 

If that time was 0s and you achieved a 1000np score... well that's pretty unlikely. (it's impossible)

 

If you sent that information to neopets, then they know you can't have physically achieved the score, so you had to be using another method...

Awww, I've been there, it sucks to have a main account be frozen. I believe that TNT can measure how long the flash game has been open, and the reality of the situation is that sending a ticket would be a waste of time, if you say that you sent a score where got 1k in 0 seconds - or if you got any score above 0 in no time at all.

 

As with any programs, it is best to have a range of times that are not exclusively multiples of 5 - as you said, it does look a bit suspicious. On it's own, perhaps not, but coupled with the score you sent... well, you know the rest.

 

If your main account was frozen but not the sides, you're more than welcome, in TNT's eyes, to make one of those your new main account. Insofar as I know, the general rule is one main, and as many sides as you want (although don't go overboard with it).

 

For what it's worth, perhaps self-freezing your account in the future, if you know you'll get iced, then recovering it (send a ticket) a week or so later will make it more likely that you'll get it back. Or not. I don't know, it could be worth a shot?

Oh, I can still use the sides? That is a massive relief! That means I only lost about 5mil (besides the age and some plot avatars/trophies) -- All of the pets that I really care about keeping were stored on side accounts.

Thanks for the advice. I was figuring out the times by just timing myself, but using videos is a good idea too.

 

 

 

It seems strange to me that a score with a time of 0s was reviewed and accepted once, then I was frozen for it later, though.

Unless you were chain frozen you can still use your sides. Sorry to hear about your main.

You can use the sides, but I'd advise against SSing on them until you're familiar with them.

 

If you're using SSing to make NPs, there's often premade lists, or people will make them for you.

Haha wow! Yeah my first-ever account, which was 8 years old at the time and I had a uc pet, got frozen because I accidentally said something on the boards about "romance" that was apparently too inappropriate, and then I couldn't get it back because I had never bothered to change the email away from this old one that didn't work. So... this is not that bad compared to that lmao.

The 0s time the first time was probably just not counted but then the 2nd one flagged your account and you got frozen.

 

There's plenty of better ways to make np than SSing as well.

If you want trophies, I'd suggest using AoB. It's a bit more work, but still equally effective and there's less of a chance of royally screwing up scores and times since you actually have to play the game yourself.

I almost fucked my main sending an impossible score a few years ago on Crisis Courier, so I self froze and asked to be unfrozen a few days later (got my main back). I actually was caught by a fucking child on neoboards because he saw I had the Meerca Chase Trophy, but the mod wasn't 18. I SSed a new score asap and I'm still fine.

So.. I'm sorry, but sending a score with time=0 is pretty impossible to gain your access back ;/

I was on a lending board and the kid stalked me because it's an old account, i think. Right now I'm fine, but I was on a rush to get as many trophies as possible ssing, because I'm stupid.

Exactly, hahahhaa. Right now I'm not even playing games, only SSing AC scores and using Abrosia. Once you discover the cheating scene you need to control yourself u_u

I have several accounts I could be playing on, but I'm only SSing on a couple for AC. I'll probably go back to habibots and the odd ABing here and there.

Even with AoB's you still need to be careful. I got one of my shells frozen for AoBing Kass Basher, and getting a score above 3k. I always leave the screen up where it asks if I want to send the score, before I actually send the score to help with time.

 

I remember when everyone was getting frozen for Sorcerer's Skirmish, and I sent a score that was impossible, but quickly corrected it with a higher score that was possible.

 

I also got frozen for cheating on flash games during the AC once, so now I panic whenever I see a "score reviewed" weather I'm using AoB or SS.

Even screen shots of Kass Basher don't help some times, like holding the tree and you've destroyed the high score?

My rule of thumb is that I set the time based on how I would play it manually. If I've never played it manually, then I give it even more leeway than usual. (Fifteen minutes or more.)

 

I also stop when I see that a score is being reviewed. I've gotten frozen for sending in multiple reviewables at once...not cool! There's nothing in Neopia that can't wait the twenty-four hours (or longer, if it's the weekend) for TNT to look it over. Really. There isn't.

SSing is as safe as AOBing if you just know what you're doing. I've gotten 20+ trophies with score sending and run 20k NP daily SS list with my main. Just do your homework before trying and don't get (too) greedy.
