You got to love them.

You got to hate them.

Sometimes I'm really desperate to move my inventory, but I get 20-40% of the TP price.

I guess I can understand that for really HTS, but for MP?

I've tried auctions... and they are really a hit or miss - mostly a miss.

Anyways, what is the lowest you accept?

Do you go resellers?

Or do you wait?

I am a total push over when it comes to reselling. If it is over 200k and HTS, i will always sell to reseller for a min 20% discount (% increasing with est .profit). To me any profit is good profit lol. I will never win the 'get rich fast' award (hypothetically speaking), but am certainly in the running for a 'get rich eventually' award lol. :)

i hate selling UBs because i have to deal with people and i have zero patience. so if i get any via AB and random events, i will just find a reseller in the trading board for half the price. otherwise, off to the deposit box it goes.

Most MPs are HTS, no matter how you look at it.

    My rule:

Junk under 500K: 99K in shop.

Junk from 500K to 1m: ask for 600K in TP, but get 400K from resellers which I intended the price to be from the very beginning.

Junk over 1m: IDGAF, not worth trying.

Even with a 7 month account shell, Neopoints are SO EASY to get that giving reseller prices doesn't bother me at all. I already got 80m pure in the bank just sitting there even after buying expensive wearables and BD weapons.

I don't normally go seeking out resellers. I know one or two who I would NM occasionally, but most of them are rude SOBs I don't want to deal with. So anything under 200k goes into my shop for 99k, anything over that I put up on the TP at 20% off other prices. Don't really care if it's an AB item, just want the NP :p

I hate trying to sell UBs. I will just look at offers and sometimes I will accept regardless of how stupid it is, and others I will tough it out. I just hate when I have "lowest on the trading post" as what I will accept and I will get an offer of like 150k and I'll search and 10 items show up, the lowest being 750k and I just shake my head.

The only time resellers get on my nerves is when I already have a price listed on the TP and they offer like 25% of that. Like really? Have the courtesy to at least neomail me about it first. For the most part I don't seek them out, I don't really care how long it takes for things to sell and I don't really deal with HTS UBs regularly anyway.

Depends how much time you have I suppose.
Thing I hate is people pepper your inbox with
"100k for your ZDAP" then don't respond to a fairly sensible counter offer.

I always wait. I hardly quicksell my stuff.

If the price has deflated I would normally wait until the price inflates again but it depends on how I have been holding on the UB and if the UB was HTS or not. If it was ETS, then reseller price/QS price is a big no-no for me.

Throw your stuff in the auction.

I get thing sold quick and for quick NP.

Start low so that the first bid is buyable.

    50k, 50k increments.

I usually sell MP for at least 50-60% of value

You have to understand we are like pawn shops... We'll offer pure neopoints super fast as soon as the trade comes up. Many, many people accept 48k for nerkmids, 60k for 100 dubloons, etc. Because the offer comes so fast. So if your wish is 230k and regular price is 250k I'll offer 169899 and sell for 225k. Many, many people will take the super fast pure neopoints because they lack patience. Resellers will have 25-100's of items that are "HTS" at any given time, so frankly it doesn't matter how long it takes to sell.
Also, we aren't ALL assholes, for example the other day a guy wanted 35k for a petpet PB that goes for about 48k... He wanted the NP quick. I offered him 32989. 5 minutes later, no response. So I go to change my offer to 35k. I click the screen to cancel, but he already accepted the offer. So I go to a junk lot of his and bid 2k, I neomail him telling him I was going to increase my price anyway. He was happy, I was happy, and we both won.

TBH I don't really mind how cheap they are. If you suddenly run into a big bulk of items to sell it's (by my regard) not worth the effort to look for proper pricing on everything.

Also, no one but resellers buys HTS anyways which I'd imagine creates some weird loop of resellers reselling to each other at worse and worse prices.

More like tnt needs to find a use for those items.

Maybe they should have a faerie quest that turns in some rare HTS and gives you an avatar you don't have in return.

For HTS, I used to spam a lot of them on tp on different shells. That really urged me to check the accounts quite often. I'll try what Keil said in the near future.

I recently dealt with a reseller that used a stupid line to try and get me to sell an item for less while we haggled. "Oh I just can't afford this, here take this much NP" when I insisted on a higher firm price, he said "Oh my friend is loaning me the extra money". Within 30 seconds, eh? Wish I had NFs like that. :p

It's just like come on...I know you're a reseller, and I know your endgame is to make a profit. Don't bullshit me.

^ yes, that reseller isn't very good. Social engineering is a large part of being a good reseller. On a large purchase I'll look at their galleries, wish lists, etc. Anything that I can use to gain an edge. Some guy was really into gallions (I think that was the petpet) ended up getting about 300k off an item on the second haggle after I bought a gallion real quick from the shop wizard and offered it with a 50k NP increase... Lol he called me out on it but embed up accepting... Said I was relentless.
I really like the thrill of seeing what I can get away with probably more than I like neopoints

Yeah the guy was an idiot, but I took it after haggling him to an acceptable price range because of wanting to quicksell.

But yeah,  snagging a deal can be more fun than the NP/item reward. I could never be a reseller though, there are so many people out there who want grossly inflated prices for their items and so many HTS items that take a million years to even find an interested person in that I would probably punch a hole through my monitor before getting anything done. :|

You have to network... No item is HTS when you have the right buyer. Look at everyone's galleries, make a list, look for similar price items of same category in other galleries. Build a relationship, i have an usuki buyer, a bunny buyer, tcg and stamp collector, etc. Keep them happy by giving them large discounts, they'll appreciate as you are doing the work for them. I sold my usuki guy a Hts usuki hat I snagged from a shop for 99999, worth about 800k. Sold it for 120k. Noob reseller will say I'm crazy and I'm noob. Lol! How happy was he? Yeah I could have gotten 4 or 500k, but what about the next 20 usuki I buy? occasional gifts, slightly unbuyable in the 110-200k rangr and they'll take that supposed HTS off your hands. Too many people interested in short term profits so they have to work, work , work every. Single. Item. They come across.

Apparently everything is HTS these days. When the only people re-sellers have to sell to are.. other re-sellers, estimated prices become  :shit: . For me if an item is 400k or above I just consider the first offer of half price or above a super instant accept. Even getting people to buy MPs for half the going price takes way too long sometimes.

It does seem like everything is considered "HTS" now. I don't even get annoyed dealing with resellers though. If its a decent profit, I'll take it. I'm not one to complain, and I try not to be greedy. If they wanna deal with the hassle of selling near full price, I let em.

Maybe I'd be more rich if I didn't think that way, but I couldn't care less. :lol2:

If its a higher end item, I do try to trade for an item I need in my gallery instead of going for pure. Its a win-win IMO. haha
