I haven't even heard someone mention it aloud once. If I didn't use the internet I probably wouldn't know what's going on.

Body fluids. Even sweat, but the chances of touching someone with ebola is minimal.

The only legitimate concern anyone might have about ebola is if it mutates into a more contagious or lethal form.

Learning about genetics in biology right now and live in Texas pls don't freak me out

There is so much wrong here. First of all nobody is ceasing flights to minimise potential spread. I know people have families in Africa and some have business to do, but do you really need to travel in times like these?

Then there are people out there who like to scare monger. Some of the media has been absolutely ridiculous and they're not helping at all. It's a terrible way to die and people should be aware of a possible mutation, but there's no need to scare the shit out of people with crazy scenarios. At the moment it's not airborne and that's what's really important.

Thirdly, the ignorance. If stupidity arises over all like what I've been hearing where some people don't believe in Ebola and steal patients or the patients themselves flee and infect more people...STAHP.

Lastly, I hear of a cure for Ebola then all of a sudden it requires more testing. Why come out saying its a cure then? What's actually going on there? I'm suspicious of that shit.

1.) I'm hardly an authority on this, but I have seen a report that says closing off an infected country would do far more harm than good because of the increased difficulty of getting supplies.

4.) As far as I can tell, they rushed forward a half-tested treatment in the face of the outbreak because anything helps. But we don't even know precisely how Zmapp even works, so Obama's saying "mayyybe slow down a bit." It also takes a long time to produce.

Ok getting supplies to where it's needed, sure I COMPLETELY understand and I commend the people who are assisting and even saving lives because it's necessary. But if you're going somewhere for a holiday surely you'd steer clear of high risk areas where there is a chance someone could pass Ebola onto you. It doesn't seem people are paying attention to that and I don't think people understand that it takes a few weeks for symptoms to show up. By the time you board that plane back home, you could've potentially infected someone else who is going off in a different direction than you are and that's how it spreads further.

Anyway, I'm reading a lot of stuff online about population control. What do you guys make of that, as if to say that people are left to die on purpose. Another far fetched conspiracy or a possibility?
