Just curious how many people have gone under the knife and how serious it was. Wisdom teeth and stuff count.

I've had my wisdom teeth removed a few years ago, the four of them in one go. Seeing I'm a person who reacts heavily to medication it was quite a trip.
Plus I got to eat ice-cream for a week
Can't go wrong with that.

I had a baby cut out of me (C-Section).
That is all.

I got my tonsils removed a couple of years ago. Was TERRIBLE!

I had my wisdom teeth removed, and I had lasers cut open my eyeballs for Lasik.

I almost got blind after jumping from the sofa into a glass thing, and I was only 3 yesrs old. I don't remember, but I have some photos of my eye after the surgery; I'll try to find it when I get home.
My surgeon took pics of my procedure .. I want to post them but they're very bloody and very NLS, lol. >_<

I was born with 11 toes and had one removed when I was a kid. I'm still bitter about that. I wish they had left it and let me choose whether I wanted it removed when I was older (I would have kept it).
I had my tonsils out when I was a kid. I'm not bitter about that though. A girl's gotta breathe.
Had PRK eye surgery in 2007.
Was put to sleep and had all four wisdom teeth cut out from under my gums. That was a fun one.
I've had a few other procedures but they don't really count as surgeries.
Did they let you keep the extra toe? Like, the bone?

Omg, that with your toe is a total tragedy Nymh. I am bitter about that, too, now! Wtf, you cannot make the decision of cutting a kids toe off for the kid! WHAT WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN

I had surgery on my mouth because one of my incisors was coming in completely sideways. So they had to go into my gums, put a chain around the tooth and then attach the chain to my braces so that it would eventually grow i correctly. I went under for that, but I was pretty young so I don't really remember anything.
I got my wisdom teeth out before my freshman year of college. When I woke up from anesthesia, I started laughing then crying then laughing then crying... and then I told my nurses that they were so nice and I love them. I got dry sockets a few days later, which was horrible. I noticed the pain on a Saturday, called my Dr. and he told me to come in Monday for emergency visit. I was on painkillers and slept ALL day that Sunday because the pain was so bad. When I went in Monday, the Dr. asked how I dealt with the pain and then was like "oh... nevermind. your eyes." because they were completely glassed over. To deal with the pain, they had to put gauze dipped in clove oil? or something in the sockets and it immediately lifted the pain. Unfortunately, my food tasted like cloves for the next couple of days.

I had a tonsillectomy when I was 5 and I had my wisdom teeth extracted when I was 17.

I imagine most American codexians have had their foreskins chopped off- so to answer on their behalf: yes.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out a few years ago, when I still smoked. It was horrible, because I wanted a cigarette so bad after but didn't have the mouth coordination to hold it in, so I held my lips around the cigarette with my fingers. #ultimateaddict

I had hernia surgery when I was 5 and I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 16. I was put under for my teeth because they were completely under the gums but I didn't swell or bruise so that's cool.
I've also had a few smaller surgeries but not been put under.

Reading this stuff makes me freak out so much...
I'm probably going to need to have surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, maybe even to remove my extra canine doubles...
Honestly I have no idea, but as much as the shit I read here freaks me the hell out, I'd rather be put under/sleep somehow if I had to get my wisdom teeth out or something.
I really hate dentists, like childhood bad experience scarred for life hate... Not to mention I am scared of needles...
-_-

I was put out completely for wisdom teeth. Props to anyone who did it without anesthesia; I am too big of a wimp to even consider that.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out.
They basically removed all four of my teeth, and then I woke up, got in the car with my girlfriend (she was driving) and came home and played the last of us all day. It was pretty fun.
I wasn't really loopy or anything, but the pain did start to kick in after a little while.
All in all, 7/10 would do again.

I was put under when I got all three of my wisdom teeth out (yes, I only had three, yes I am the next step in human evolution). Despite the great pain meds, the next few days were painful since to remove one tooth they have to cut into my jaw to 'make space' for removal. The rest they just basically popped out.

All my wisdom teeth have been taken out, my tonsils have been removed, and I also had the muscle between my two front teeth lasered through so I could get rid of my gap. The only one that really threw me for a loop was the tonsillectomy - honestly the worst pain I've ever experienced. It was a vicious cycle of pain: scream in agony, pain increases from screaming, scream in agony some more...

Geez I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't had their wisdom teeth taken out
All mine grew in just fine but now my bottom teeth are all smushed together and are kinda messed up now, so I'm gonna need braces at some point once I can afford them hahahhahh
But the only surgery I've ever had was when I was a baby!! I dunno if it actually counts as a surgery though? There's pretty much nothing to the procedure lmao but I had that tongue-tie thing so the doctor snipped it ^^

Let's see... wisdom teeth were finally removed a couple years back... had some other back teeth pulled as well.
That's it so far though, thankfully.
Don't remember too much, but I do remember that laughing gas is awesome.
Lortabs are awesome too but taste like ass (not that I know what ass tastes like.)
I get super chatty and bouncy on em.
Is that stuff (laughing gas) legal to own? I need it for... uh... science. Yeah, science... ![]()

My wisdom teeth hadn't popped out when i had them removed, and that was 2 different days for all 4 to be extracted.
When I was 16 I was re circumsized because there was still a little bit of my hoddie attached to muh thinga-muhbobber, and I wanted it removed. It was a success, I'm sporting a hammer like the movie Thor now.
I had torsion in Germany, bi-lateral torsion, and the army fixed that in '06. I've had 3 back surgeries, 2 were to put in the Spinal Cord Stimulator and 1 was to remove it earlier this year. I've also had a biopsy where they knocked me out a few months ago, and took out 2 of my lymph nodes. I also have a broken orbital bone and crushed cheek bone, so metal placed inside me, that was a long a surgery. And I've had 3 nose surgeries to fix the bone and the deviated septum. A colonoscopy as well when I was 16 too, I opted to be knocked out lol. I'm pretty sure that's it.
