    MUSIC!!!

STARTS: NOW!

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: November 12, 2014 @ 8:00pm FR/NST

VOTING ENDS: November 16, 2014 @ 7:00pm FR/NST

As with the previous two contests, I want this to be fun and spontaneous; entries needn't be created from scratch by you, though if you WANT to create one on your own, by all means feel free to do so.

CURRENT THEME:

Please submit an animated music-related entry to me via PM; entries posted in this thread will not be considered. By MUSIC-RELATED, the entry could be anything as generic as an instrument (yep @nitro, cellos are okay) or entertainment venue that you like, to as specific as something relating to a specific entertainer, band, type of music, or specific song/composition that you like. The possibilities are very open-ended!

GENERAL RULES and/or INFORMATION:

Spoiler

1. Please refrain from submitting copyrighted material.
2. Only one entry per user, and as per the other contests on the site, please DO NOT share your entry with anyone, ask people to vote for you, or otherwise advertise your entry for votes. Doing so is a surefire way to end up being disqualified from any future Neocodex contests, and they are fun...so just don't!
3. The voting thread will be posted as soon as possible after the Submission Deadline; users should not vote for themselves.
4. As was the case in the previous contest, since the gifs need not be user-created, the occasion may arise that an identical entry is submitted by more than one entrant. Should this happen, it will be handled as before (i.e., duplicate entries will be bundled into a single voting category).
5. If there is a tie for most votes, a tie-breaker will be held for 2 days. If the tie remains unbroken, then multiple Champion awards will be made.

PRIZES:

• The First-place voted entrant(s) will receive this awesome animated kitty-cat award (inspired by the first contest as well as the overabundance of cat gifs on da intarwebz) created by @Honey...please rep her here, I think it is fantastic:
• Participants receive a non-animated version of the kitty-cat award:
• First and Second-placed entrants will be able to choose (in the order of their winning) between a $10 Neocodex Store Voucher (donated by me) and 500k Flight Rising Treasure (donated by @nitro!!!).

LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR ENTRIES!!!

SHIT...wasn't thinking, I blame being half awake and the chaoticness of the posting day; apologies for my extreme carelessness! I fixed the post above.

I was teasing, but I fixed mine too, kind of.

Well I appreciate it, Napi!

I'm wondering how the turnout for this theme will be...the last two were more specifially defined and easier...but I'm super interested to see what kind of entries result from this proposed theme.

[Derpious]

might try this one :3

[Canis]

I think I've got the perfect gif for this theme

Then again, I'm biased so...

[Grimley]

Awesomesauce, @Derpious and @Fanged, I look forward to seeing your entries!

[Swar]

Can it be a GIF of someone dancing while listening to song?

[Grimley]

Can it be a GIF of someone dancing while listening to song?

It definitely can be, swarl...actually I'm sure that creative interpretation of the theme will actually be something that voters give thought to in the voting thread, too.

[Canis]

Can it be a GIF of someone dancing while listening to song?

Ooooooo, now we'll know which one is yours!

[Derpious]

It can be gif that's made already by someone right?

[Bee]

It can be gif that's made already by someone right?

Yep. @Kord said that in the first post.

[Grimley]

It can be gif that's made already by someone right?

Definitely! I think that is indicated in the rules, but if you think that I need to be more clear, feel free to let me know.

[Derpious]

Just wanted to clear it :3 I will try to find a gif later

[Speedracer]

hmm I like the theme, but I feel like i'm gonna have a hard time finding/making a gif that satisfies me

[Swar]

Ooooooo, now we'll know which one is yours!

Don't worry, I changed my mind

LOL I like that, and hey that is a good example to show here to let people know of the flexibility of the theme and what sorts of things are acceptable.

Don't worry folks, I reply to each entry and let you know if it is acceptable or not, so there won't be any surprises at the deadline of whether your entry can be used or not for voting purposes.

That would be a dick move if you put up the voting thread and that's when you announced which entry wasn't acceptable xD

You're such a sweetheart though Kord, so that's not something you'd do.
