For those that own the console version my son will be stoked!

It's true though! He plays Xbox Minecraft, I play PC version. He's getting really good at building things too and it's great to see what his creativity unleashes

Just showed Jayson this and he hit the roof, it's something he has been waiting for, for ages! I too would love to give it a go when it eventually gets released. Looks kinda cool

Oh, so apparently it's talking about Windows phones and tablets? Because they don't have MC in their app store.

That is what it is looking like to me, though Win 10 for PCs does launch at the end of July.

I almost think they may be having some freebie limited/special one put into the OS to get people hooked so that they will want to buy it (the full one), you know?

As far as I know the new version will be called Minecraft: Windows 10 edition. W10 edition will be based on the same code as Minecraft Pocket Edition which means it's written in C++. As I've understood W10 eidition will be downloadable from the Windows (10) Store once its released, everyone who owns a copy of the current PC version will receive Windows 10 edition for free.

W10 edition will also be able to play together with the xbox players and with Pocket Edition players (once the latter receives an update to enable that).

From what I gather, yes. I think this one is more of a standalone version specifically for Windows 10.

Yeah, Kord's post made it clearer. It's gonna be like the Pocket version. Best to save a bit more money and get the full PC version
