That's likely why :p

Those trees are MASSIVE.

 

The huge number of blocks existing in the world at once is what caused the lag.

Bet it wasnt as big as my world killing tree I grew ;) canopy was ~2500 blocks across lol server needed a rollback in that instance :/ I believe it was a mega rubber sapling or something like that.

I restarted the server for you guys earlier either way just to be sure :)

I'm out of the loop, what's happening? Is there a new version of the modpack?


We had to reconfigure our server options, since it was costing a little more than was originally thought. We ended up on a new ip.

Oh alrighty.

 

Maybe in addition to editing the first post, whenever an IP change or other major change happens also do another post at the end? Seems a bit easier to find as opposed to status' updates or whatever. :)

Old server is officially offline, and the new is running at neocodex.PlayAt.CH - everyone already whitelisted should be good to go.

Strat, you indicate that the server is Hard+, but I don't think I've seen elaboration...for example, did you change the setting such that we don't regenerate health, and details regarding Creepers (do they blow up blocks) would be nice to know as well. :)

Yes we do regen health and creepers do not damage blocks.

@Strategist and @Romy I have a question! Would it be at all possible to install a "common room" (or even just a tiny corner) at spawn with communal craft tables and furnaces for the sake of helping some of us who are a wee bit challenged get rolling? if not, that's cool too. :)

What's with stuff being locked? Like furnaces and whatnot? What if I want to leave a chest of freebies out?

Type /unlock then left click the chest/furnace in question and it shall be made public.
We use the LWC locking plugin on the server so have a look around youtube and the likes for their guides in detail. They help heaps :)
