I have found the Arena much better for currency than Kelp Beds. I'm averaging 1 sand dollar ~ 3.5 fights, as opposed to 1 ~ 7 fights in Kelp Beds.

That could in part be to the 28% neutral monsters in the arena. Neutral have a 25% chance to drop currency. The kelp beds only have 8% neutral, but the 24% water sort of makes up for that, as monsters with the element of the festival have a 35% to drop currency.

Plus, luck does play a part in the drops.

There's been some research done on currency drops.

And there is an encounter chance with each element in each venue:

This is why I post these things. I would have forgotten if it hadn't been on my tumblr because I don't really check the main page too often.

Thank you! I've been having a ton of fun with Flight Rising so far, largely thanks to the people here for prizes as well as the fact that I even have an account at all haha.

I've been farming at the Arena too - the high incidence of neutral mobs really does make it better for currency drops than it would seem at first glance. I hesitate to farm at the Kelp Beds for anything except training exalt fodder, simply because it's a lot slower than places where I can one-shot the mobs (and the mantas slow it down a lot too).

Bah, hate how you now have to own the dragon you want to preview skins & accents on.
From what I've seen though they're all really cool this time around.

Probably try to get at least 10 each of everything, and a few extra of the ones I really like (especially Fae's  ^_^).

Thank you for the guide. thumbsup2.gif

    Yay thanks for the guide.

Does this event end on Saturday, or after Saturday?

I don't want to miss the end of the event without selling or trading in my GSD.

    Thank you!

Sunday. All holidays begin at 12am Sunday, and end at 12am the following Sunday.

So you can still get items on Saturday, but when Sunday hits, it's over.

I stupidly missed out on the buy-only skins/accents and have a ton of Sand Dollars now because I thought 'I'll just wait until Sunday morning (here rollover is 9 am) to exchange them.' Stupid :p I really shouldn't trust my sleeping habits.
