Calamari is hard to get right. It's natural texture is so weird that it's hard to make it not slimy/chewy.

 

This exactly. I only know a few places by me that make it well.

Yeah, but I find I like it a bit chewy. Not so much I have to swallow it whole though.

I think it will always be kind of chewy just because. But when it's so rubbery you can't bite through it and have to swallow it whole .. nothx.

I love peaches, it's so annoying I can't find them here all year (well, I can but off season they're tasteless) and I refuse to eat canned fruit.
