Yea if you're going to go through the trouble of getting US Netflix you could just stream / download and save yourself a ton of headaches.

I guess the only benefit to Netflix could be if you're bored and don't know what to watch Netflix can give you suggestions. But that's what friends are for

I don't know about that being the ONLY benefit. I like it for reasons I still don't fully understand; I know they are benefits though.  :p

Netflix is just top on my list due to ease of use and availability. I don't have to sit at my computer to stream stuff when it also works on my Wii U or 3DS. Most other streaming sites don't provide that luxury.

If you live in Canada, you could share an account with someone in America, if you know someone willing to do so.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that (to my knowledge) and it's based on the location of your IP address

I just go to Google and ask it about a new seriies that have high reatings and watch fromt here lol

That's a good idea, except it bums me out when a new series has high ratings but isn't very popular and gets cancelled after the first season. Like Firefly or Stalker, so I try to only start watching a new series that's in its second season.

I don't know about that being the ONLY benefit. I like it for reasons I still don't fully understand; I know they are benefits though.  :p

While I have access to Netflix I still find that i don't use it all that often. I don't know, maybe I'm different than the average user that they cater to. It's only if I ever feel like binge watching a show

Yeah I can stream it from my phone while I'm out and about, so that's a bonus.

@sprockets it sucks that it's IP based. Are Canada's laws stricter about what you can watch, or is it just Netflix being stupid?

This is the only thing that bothers me about free online streaming. My graphics card doesn't have the capability of streaming to my TV, so anything I watch has to be at the computer. For everything else .. I have a Chromecast to use with anything tablet-compatible.

We need new questions, so I'll give us one:

If you could meet anyone in the world (past/present) who would it be?

It may be the CRTC regulating that x amount of media has to be Canadian content in Canada or it may be that they can't get licensing for everything. Not too sure to be honest. For instance, a series as popular as Harry Potter is only offered in certain countries and it's not even all 8 movies but specific ones.

Weird. You would think a movie like that would be wide-spread, so you can make the most money off it.

    Steve Irwin.

Truthfully I met him once at an Animal Planet event when I was a child (he was hosting a quiz for the kids and giving winners little plushies. I got a manatee), but I would have liked to get the chance to shake his hand and maybe speak to him on a more constructive level. For the longest time he was my inspiration and the main reason I wanted to become an animal biologist.

I was so upset when he passed away! I remember waking up and hearing it on the radio, and my parents didn't believe me that he had really died.

Just had some pineapple, that's about all the sweetness I can handle right now.

Is pineapple good? I'm allergic so I've never tasted it but so many people keep talking about it and I wanna try it but I also don't want to die.

    No it's disgusting.

I only like fresh pineapple, I have one so it's a toss up between that and watermelon for dessert. OMG my Arteries! My delicate Canadian vascular system is not cut out for your American Cuisine! Baked mac and cheese was a hit.

Yeah. I legit started crying when I heard about him passing, though once I started thinking about it I also realized he went down doing what he loved, and that's perfectly okay.

He did though, and it's good. It was kind of a freak accident though, with the stingray.

I just sold my car... it was pretty emotional. I have had that car since 2007. It has been through all of my relationships. Moved me from Ohio to Kentucky! It was a toyata camry 1998. It had a split brake line and we didn't want to pay the $1000 to get it fixed. I sold it for $400, so I made $400 on it since I got the car for free!

Yes but the gas and any maintenance or whatever probably cost way more over the years.  :p

Well yeah but technically no. All maintenance I never paid for, except for oil changes and new tires! There is a new water pump and timing belt which was $700 total.

Haha, I actually named my first car. I was kind of upset when I had to let it go, same as you.
