As some of you might have heard me saying, I am working on an RPG called Quest of Ti'me.  I'm using a compiler provided by BYOND (Build Your Own Net Dream)  It is a free download that you can get from them.  The download comes with 4 programs.  Dream Seeker - Used to play and host games,  Dream Maker -  used to make and compile games, Dream Deamon - used to host games(better than Dream Seeker), and Dream Deploy (not quite sure what it does since Ii never use it.  Once you make a playable game you can then host it (if your pc/internet is capable) for others to play. Now, since you know a little background on it, this is where I'm asking for help.  There are many RPGs currently done on BYOND and are pretty good.  Some are Mystic Journey, Seika, and Seika II.  Though, they all have pretty much the same battle system.  So, I'm asking for ideas for a new, different, and interesting attack system.  I can code in almost anything, so coding isn't a problem.  BUT, I must say that DM (the code is called DM after Dream Maker) is a si'mplified version of C++ so it cannot do all the things that VB and C#/++ can do.  Any ideas are appicriated.  Thanks in advance. :)

PS: if you guys have any other ideas besides and attack system please tell me.  I want my game to PWN ALL THE OTHER RPGS ON BYOND!!!! :)

PPS: I forgot how the other games' attack system works.  To attack you have to click attack and then you attack it once and it does damage to the monster and then the monster attacks back.  The monster keeps attacking you if you move or stop attacking.

I would recomend building your engine around a system that you know and have enjoyed playing, for example, if you're into role playing - maybe you like chulu, warhammer, GERPS, etc... then try and work that for your needs - but make it different enough so you're not just ripping it off LOL
