I don't post here often but I didn't know where else to post this.

 

I recently got back into Neopets and since I forgot my old account's credentials or it plain got deleted, I had to start fresh. There are a lot of disadvantages of having a new account and mine is only 1 week old, still, so I was contemplating buying a new one, maybe one from those sites that sell shells of 10+ years for $5 or something.

 

Question is: is it worth the $5 or am I at a risk of getting frozen for transferring my crap to that account + playing on it from my IP, etc? And is getting such an old account really advantageous or should I just stick with my 1 week old one? I feel that by being 15 years behind I'm missing on a lot of potential FC money or other stuff I don't know about ;_;

Our members sell accounts here, all you need is 10 posts and week of registration to be able to see our trading post. As we've discussed this topic before, buying shells/accounts from one of those sites, one of the points I always remember seeings is that you have no way of knowing if that account was stolen from someone or not, and a stolen account I'd say gives a higher risk of you getting frozen, since the person who originally owned it still knows the username and everything and can send in a ticket to freeze the account. 

Plus, sometimes that account is still active, so instead of buying a stolen abandoned account, you're buying someone's account that they're still using and they have no idea it's been sold to someone. 

Neocodex does not allow anyone here to trade in stolen items, so any accounts sold here, are owned by the user selling it, and not some random person on neo that they stole an account from.

 

Also,  aged accounts would give you access to the AAA (3+ years), but it's been broken for a while, and the hidden tower discount (I think that's 60+ months). A 3 month account would allow you to see all the items in a shop, which seems to be what you're going for.

Ah, I was wondering if there was any special reason to why there was no market place. That explains it. All right then, I'll keep posting around here and then I'll check it out.

 

Is it worth it, though? Could you enlighten me on some clear advantages to having an older account? Or is it just minor stuff that I could get around and keep using my new one?
