Post dumb and/or funny stuff you thought or did as a kid here

When I was a kid, I was apparently so arrogant that when I could ask a question to a kids' science program on TV I asked 'Why are other kids dumber than me?'

When I got my first sex ed at 8 (my first sister was born then, and I had many questions) I didn't realize that the weewee actually goes in the foof, and up until my 15th I genuinely thought the guy just had to aim really well.

When I was a kid I would slap random people's butts in the subway and scream "NICE BUTT YOU GOT THERE" *ofcourse in dutch

This is the funniest thing I've read today. I love it.

When I was a kid, I had a pile of pillows/blankets/stuffed animals/etc at the end of my bed. I would take things from my older sister (makeup, toys, etc) and when she would tell my parents that I took something of hers, I would hide it in that pile and be like "No, I didn't"...

If I took _____, where is it then? and I'd just say she lost said item or something :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:  That was terrible of me.

One time I knocked on a door in school and ran away, but the teacher that was there caught me. He was one of the worst teachers (as in evil) and we don't like each other even after years. Not just because of that, but also because I always aced his "impossible" exams

When I was 3 (I think), I was jumping from a couch to another, while my babysitter was watching TV. One small mistake and I go right into a glass jar thing. With my eye. Almost got blind. So dumb.

Another time when I almost got blind was when I was about 11. I was playing with my cousin outside, when we saw a plank. We grabbed it, picked up some rocks and decided to make a small seesaw to throw rocks. Everything was fine, we were having a lot of fun, until it happened. I was putting a big rock on the lower side of the plank, and before I got away, my cousin jumped. Darkness. The rock hit my left eye (I closed it fast enough) and I couldn't see shit. It hurt a lot too. Thankfully there was no blood, or else I would probably freak out. I couldn't see with that eye for almost two days. I thought I was gonna get blind.

    I bet it's just because they're blue.

My grandparents lived out in the country, and the cousins were taking turns driving the tractor, and I was driving the tractor, and my cousin jumped on the side, grabbed the wheel, and we ran the tractor into my grandparent's van. They were so mad!

i thought you were a 40-year-old man. *mindblown*

anyway, when i was a kid i remember not knowing my real name until the first day of kindergarten. the teacher asked me to tell the class what my name is and i said my nickname instead which is "lee" and the whole class burst into laughter as the teacher pretended not to hear and asked, "what? ali baba?". thankfully, my sister was at the back of the class and she helped me.

also one time i got a friend who wanted to take me home so he asked me to board his parent's car. i ended up wasting their time for half an hour asking them to drive through random streets because i didn't know where i live. later they abandoned me back in the kindergarten. :crybaby:

I have too many stories to tell, but I'll just start with one I remember off the bat.

When I was a kid, I did very stupid things.  I put metal objects in electric outlets (and almost started a fire), jumped out windows, fell down stairs, and jumped in water before I learned how to swim.

What can I say, I lived dangerously like an idiot. :p

When I was a kid, I was such a tomboy. I'd play football in the garden with the boys and when the boys took off their shirts, I'd whip mine off as well or take off my dress and play in just my panties. Certainly can't do that anymore!

Oh boy... My mum always tell everyone the most embarrassing things about my childhood.

My grandparents (my mum's parents) lived in the countryside and they had a farm with animals. I used to spend all my school vacations, including Summer vacations, there. When I was 2, and chickens had a bunch of baby chicks so I was just in middle of them playing in the dirt and whatnot. When my grandma notices me walking to her near the house with my hands closed on something against my chest. Once I got near her enough for her to hear me/see what I was carrying, I opened the hands and showed her one dead baby chick "Grandma, I think it ran out of batteries :( ".

Oh wait, there's another one before that. It was a few months after I started walking. In Alentejo (where my grandparents lived and I am now, curiously - not) people are big fans of naps because it's very hot region during Summer. During nap time that day, I waited for my grandparents to fall asleep, then I got out of my room and out of the house and walk to the goat/sheep's shed and decided to lay down in their straw's bed near the babies. When my grandparents got up and noticed I was gone it was panic, they searched the farm and the barn but didn't searched inside animals sheds. They went to neighbors' houses, one by one asking if anyone saw me. When they returned home and were about to search in the fields that led to the river and lake already thinking the worst they saw me walking out of the animals' shed happy as any toddler would be be being covered in animals manure and straw in their hair.

    Certainly can't do that anymore!

I don't see why not.

When I was in grade school, the teacher asked us to write down our suggestions on what politicians can do to better our world.......I put, "Make them get up and say a big long speech"

Oh my god that still makes me laugh!!

When I was a kid I thought i could pee just like boys did.

There was nothing a boy did that I didn't think I could also do.

So, I decided that I would try to pee down the slide at the park just like the other boys did.

I was 3. The odds were NOT in my favour.

When I was a kid I got the microwave to catch on fire. I thought I put the timer on for an hour. Nope. Did not.

When I was a kid I thought it was cool to see an emu until it started pecking at me. 0/10 would not do again.

When I was young I did it want to stand at the front of the class at all for any sort of oral presentation at all. So in grade 5 I was supposed to do a quiz presentation one day and instead I had a plan to avoid doing it completely. I walked to school as it was nearby, but I also took my sister as she was in a lower grade at the school.

My grand scheme was to hide in a nearby forest just across the street from the school for the day. With my sister. All day until school was out. So I told my mom don't worry about picking us up after school and left.

What i forgot was the school calls every household if there is an absent student. So they called my mom. She says we already left and should have been there. I was just chilling with my sister and heard cops go by eventually. "Oh just something going on." I said and just played with some sticks. I'm not familiar with time frames for it, but sooner or later my mom shows up in the woods and is so pissed off at me for my little stunt.

Still had to do the presentation and also awkwardly show up to school the next day with all the staff knowing what I did.

When I was a kid and I learned what a period and other "adult" stuff was I thought I would be cunning and just be pregnant all the time so I would never have a period. Glad I smarted up before I lost my v-card.

I also thought Pokemon had to be real (like how could someone just MAKE all of that up) and that Japan was just hiding the Pokemon.

I'm really glad internet forums and the like weren't more popular until I was already a pre-teen. I mean, I posted some cringey stuff even then but I can't imagine the cringey shit 8 or 9 year old me would be psoting.

I'd say you ought to ask my mum, but she's even worse at remembering my childhood properly.

My embarrassing stories probably have to do with being a smartass.

Omg this reminds me that I once freaked out as a kid; I saw my mom showering and the blood washing away into the drain and I cried for days because I thought she was dying.

When I was a kid, I didn't know about women's reproductive system. I didn't even know how did they pee. I just never thought about it. One day I accidentally ran into a pr0n web page and saw a pretty explanatory picture... I couldn't sleep well that day lol My childhood was over in a way :lol2:

Well, technically, you weren't wrong. Each period is one step closer to menopause and death. :whistling:
