Hello. I have an EC2 instance located in N.california and the buy times seems to be more than > 1700 ms even if set the settings to lowest possible. Does it goes the same to you guys who AB in the U.S?

Yeah, I live in N.Cal and my buy times range from 1500ms-2500ms (sometimes get really slow because lag, but that's uncontrollable). Also, you probably shouldn't aim to go any lower than 1700 because then that starts to go into the realm of cheating and probably will get frozen

Yeah, and occasionally I'll get a by time at like 1200-1500ms, but that's rare so yeah your buy times are pretty normal

I followed the settings from Scot but i hardly get any items on my EC2 instance even though the buy time is lower. In my actual location, my buy time is more than > 5000 ms but i managed to get more item compare to my EC2 instance. Guess its just luck  :ohwell:

Yeah, it's all up to luck. I've been AB'ing in magic and buy times can range from like 1200ms-6000ms. For instance, just got a nice MP worth a mil or two, but buy time was over 4000ms. It's kind've just down to luck because of how laggy neo is

Another quick question unrelated to the topic, do you sell your HTS items in trading post at the actual price or with certain amount of cut?

I normally don't have HTS because MPs, but anyways I've got a reseller that always buys MPs from me for like 50-60% of full value. I'm not complaining though since I still make a lot from doing nothing. (sometimes things sell for full before my reseller gets online and we discuss prices and whatnot because sometimes people actually want to buy for full)

Okay, 50% seems to be fair then because I normally sold them at half price too. I've been AB'ing in defence shop recently, not sure if people wanna buy it even with half price cut :p

Oh yeah, that stuff is really HTS. Yeah, prob 500k for each R99 is probably a good baseline (full armours prob could fetch like 600k-700k or more per depending on species) and ofc even more for like RSS or any of the big reflector things but yeah random R99s prob aim for 500k or less

is there much profit in defense or battle for that matter? I know there are some big ticket items, but I've never actually seen a restock when Ive bene in there. I typically get between 20-40 unbuyables a day cycling through accounts but thats in stamps and magic. How often do you actually buy an item in there? how much profit typically?

I used to legit restock a lot in BM/DM (since I would cycle through BM/DM/mag/stamp tabs so I still make profit if DM/BM are being slow) and I'd probably get like 3 or 4 R99's a week from there, which meant around 2 mil+ profit. Sometimes though I'd get like 4 R99's in a day and one of those being a 5 mil+ profit item.

Basically, from personal experience BM/DM can be really slow or really profitable. Imo, it's not worth to AB there because you can make better profit elsewhere, but if you legit RS in multiple tabs then it's worth it.

Ok thanks that clears things up. I do get sad that I don't really have the same access to those items as I do stamps and morphing potions though. :( oh well maybe some day I will take a break and focus on there.

Yeah, you'll probably make more profit overall in stamp and mag than AB'ing in DM/BM. If you ever start legit RS'ing or pseudo legit-rs'ing (use a program to highlight good items, or to block bad items etc.) BM/DM will be pretty nice to restock in as well.

Yeah i don't know if I ever will, maybe if I decide to stop paying for advanced. my main issue is the time it takes to load pages in any browser is/seems significantly longer than abrosia takes. I don't think I would get very many items as a result.

LOL I've just been AB'ing off of my main since TNT doesn't really give a shit unless someone reports you or it's obviously impossible buy times (which can't happen with the lag)

lol i don't necessarily sell all my items. I have a gallery that I get items for but anything extra i sell on those accounts they are bought on. I ab/favor my main. its just easier if i get the items on there to begin with.
