I use an extension on chrome that allows you randomize the refresh rates. I've had a lot of luck with it on 5+ accounts and none have been frozen yet...

I use the same extension trying to get the Neomail Addict avvie. No luck so far. But some cheap items appear in my inventory when I check it afterwards. Nothing interesting, no FQ, no avvie though. Not frozen either But autoplaying Dice-A-Roo usually is way more productive.

Autoplayers are surely more productive. I normally let an autoplayer run for a good part of the day and a lot of items appear on my inventory.

The spider refreshers we used to use navigated randomly all over neo for random events, still had a horrible return compared to running an AB for a couple hours. Most times you'll make more from playing the games then you will using a refresher for random events.

I think they've all been deprecated. If it's something you think you'll be interested in, when I've got a small bit of free time I'll whip one up. They take almost no time to make and they're really...really basic.

Yeah definitely not. The whole concept is this; login, load all links on page, randomly select one and navigate to it, load all links on that page, randomly select one and go to it, and on and on and on. Yes, it's less likely to get you frozen than refreshing a single page, but you won't make much of anything in the scheme of things compared to the autoplayers, dailies, and abing.

Yeah, it'd be different if random events gave items that you couldn't just buy...but they dont. Minus a couple trophies (got the gold tax beast trophy in my first 2 weeks on a new account because he stole 30k hah), and a couple avatars.

Yeah I suggested it because of random avatars (like Sloth and Tooth Faerie) and mainly for faerie quests. I normally get faerie quests while running autoplayers for a long time, though.

I'm jealous. The randomized autorefresher in Firefox shouldn't be more different than this method and I still have no luck. Argh!

Nah I'm pretty sure I've heard of people getting it recently. It's just the RNG hating on everyone like it always does...it has no friends.

I hope you're right. Avvies are maybe the only reason I still play Neopets. And I hate the RNG back with a passion!

I feel like holding F5 is more efficient. At least with Chrome, when you hold the refresh button, it refreshes like crazy. I had tried using an extension like you and it was not enough, it refreshed like every 2 seconds. You would end up with around 30 refreshes per minute top. With the hold method it's way more than that

You guys can also make a AutoHotKey script to make it act like you're holding F5 yourselves. I always need to find a lazy way into everything I do

Ha! I finally got all the refresh avatars except Haiku! Like seriously! But I finally crossed over the 200 avvie mark! Very proud of myself.

Awesome! Honestly...it's probably one of the big flags to most of my accounts
I usually don't bother with getting avatars other than the clickables. Going to actually do my daughters account up really well though so I've gotta start.
