I'm getting rs banned like crazy today. Literally within 10 minutes, how can a brother live like this?

Multiple shells...shells by the 1000s...I better get to the beach and start collecting so I can corner the market on shells!

But really...more shells...rotating shells is the only way around rs bans...that and lowering refresh rate...but that only reduces the frequency at which they occur.

I used to have a bunch of shells, but I've lost some since the mass PW reset. Now I'm doing my best with only 4 accounts, I can't do much :/

Maybe they're rotating(?) their shells? Start using 15, once a few get banned, they use new ones, and so on?
I honestly don't know of a method to avoid RS ban, especially using those refresh rates. And since the ban is random, there's no way to predict it. Rotating shells is my best bet.

I rotate my shells and they still get banned :/

Every single one within a few minutes, I know I'm not going too fast because my internet is terribly slow.

    What is your refresh rate?

Pretty high, less than a second, but I have to because my internet is so bad that it has horrible refresh times if I don't do that.

Your refresh rates are less than a second? It explains why you get rs banned so fast. It should be around 5 or higher to avoid being banned the next minute. It doesn't matter if your internet is fast or slow, 1s refresh is crazy.

Really? at a couple seconds it was taking forever. Huh, I'll try slowing it down again

What you mean take forever? To buy something?

Are you sure you're talking about refresh rates and not buytime? My refresh rates is 4 to 6 seconds, but my buytime is around 900ms.

That's still why though unfortunately. Think of it this way, most people refresh every 3 to 12 seconds depending on how risky we want to be. Just because your Internet is loading slow doesn't mean the Aber isn't sending those requests as quickly as you have it set. Plus, the pages in the Aber load much quicker than a browser because they don't load the images, they don't load the ads, they look at the source and do the functions they're supposed to. Plus most programs compress the pages with gzip to load even quicker. It may take your browser a while to load, but that program is sending out requests every second regardless, and neo just gets them as they're sent and says "oh hey someone's either refreshing way too fast or they're up to something more malicious, let's rs ban them"

That was me yesterday, on more than one account. Halfway thru I just gave up and stopped ABing that day lols.

Yeah pretty much this. If you set it to refresh every second or so it will send requests for the page to the NP server every second of course, and the site will thus respond accordingly.

With slow internets I'd really be more concerned with buy times instead, as that's what determines whether you actually grab an item. I mean, you must see it before you grab it of course, but refreshing every few seconds should let u see some good items if you keep it up for a period of time anyways.

For anything really, even loading pages on codex takes forever :p

My buy time is really low, but still has really high buy times as a result of my internet.

Oh, well shit. I haven't ABed much where I live right now with bad internet so I figured it'd be about the same as when I do it manually.

Also I had no idea how these programs even work :p Yeah I'll go change my refresh times oops

Haha it's understandable to think it'd be as slow as loading a browser, but if you right click and view source, that's what the program views. It doesn't care about loading images and whatnot unless you specify it to(in the case of the captcha to buy items) and it also compresses the data to make page loads even quicker. And regardless of how quick you're sending that data, it's shooting those requests out and your pc just queues them up and sends them as it is able to.

I slowed it way down, and it should be fine now (I hope :p )

I'll report in a few hours if there's any change in my restock ban frequency.

But yeah, I thought it just went to a normal page like a normal script would with the browser open.

It's a pretty common misconception. Back in the day before sockets were widely used in programming, it was built in browsers that we used for programming for Web applications. Sockets allowed us to do things much quicker, cleaner, and in multiple simultaneous instances (multithreading)

So with a slow internet connection in order to reduce the buy time you have to lower what, the OCR or the haggle time? Or both?

Both, the refresh rates should be the same if you internet is fast or slow, the OCR and the haggle time should be the one thing to change here.

Either / both depending on what works. :p Experiment with lowering them till u hit a buy time of like 1400-1500ms or so.
