[Rowlet]

Hi everyone! I'm Rowlet and this is my first post on Neocodex. 

I joined because I'm interested in learning how to AB and revive the fun in Neopets for myself (even if it's illicit fun), as I tend to hold on tightly to things from my childhood. 

 

I am in college and am going to go live in South Korea soon, so if any Korean speakers want to chat in elementary level Korean it might be good practice for me! Other than that, I love to draw and I am also trying to learn how to code. First I'm trying to tackle HTML and CSS, then Python. 

 

I clearly love Pokemon, and Rowlet is the starter I'm most likely to pick as I always tend to favor the grass-type starters. I'm really excited for Sun and Moon and would love to chat with some people about that!

Which starter do you think will be the most popular when the other evolution forms are released?

 

I'm banking on Popplio. Nobody seems to appreciate the little guy for what he is right now-- but it's been leaked that its final evo will be Water/Fighting and I feel like it'll have redemption then haha. That's what happened with Froakie. 

 

Furthermore, I feel like Rowlet will be the least popular once people are able to look past its cuteness and recognize its terrible typing. The final evolution has a chance of not being that cool either, though I hope it will be!

YouTube recommended me a video about the hate over the "horrible devil monster" Popplio. I really don't see why people hate it. Not being a fan is understandable, but it's nowhere near their worst designs xD

Yo I saw that video!! I was like what is the point of this?? haha. There's no reason to hate it, you could merely just dislike it and move on. Like you said, there have been worse designs before.

 

I think Popplio is very cute actually. The other two are great starters too and seem to be very popular... That being said, I think there's always going to be a "reject" with any generation.

People just seem to want a reason to complain, as usual I really like all three starters, and I think they have a great potential to have awesome looking evolutions. Honestly, just the fact that there are new Pokémon is enough for me

I meant Auto Buying, my apologies! 

Array of Bytes looks super interesting too, though. I'm a little nervous about cheating when it comes to games, as I (recklessly) used a score sender when I was like 13 and got chain iced. I'll definitely look into this, though! Thank you!

I think Noctowl is a different kind of owl-- Rowlet resembles a barn owl, which actually look quite different from the owls with the huge eyes. Forgive my ignorance on owl terminology but yeah xD
