Thanks for the update! I'm seriously loving how Mimikyu looks in game, so so awesome. I hope it's viable in competitive/showdown at all since I probably won't be buying the actual game :p

How come? You can get a secondhand 2DS for really cheap, and then you can always hack it or wait until secondhand copies of the game are available for (slightly) cheaper ^^

Well I have a 3DS, I'm just not sure I have the patience to grind out the whole game anymore :p

New pokemons and Z-move.

But why is Alola forme ICE? I thought it is based on Hawaii so more of Fire/Grass.

Oh well but I like Sandshrew and Sandslash plus it is Ice and Steel type.

Exeggutor looks ugly, but more like a coconut tree.

Z-dance just looks funny to me.

Reminds of that weird pose Team Flare people used to do.

The regional pokemon live in the Aloha mountains that are cold and snowy year-round. There's multiple islands and maybe they aren't all as tropical as the first one.

@Ka1 I know for sure the tops of Mauna Kea and Haleakala gets snowed on from time to time. Mind you those are the tops of very tall volcanoes, but I guess they're just gonna exaggerate that aspect.

Really digging the Alola versions of Sandslash and Ninetails. Exeguttor kinda freaks me out lmao, interesting that it becomes Dragon type and loses Psycic.

Z move poses are... goofy. But whatever.

Right, seem like there is a icy mountain but that is so unexpected.

But Vulpix evolved using a Fire stone in the previous gen so now Alola Vulpix evolve with ? Something like Glaceon or Ice stone ?

Actually Alola Exeggutor has an extra 'head' at the tail...more eww

This video seems to confirm some of the chinese rumours. And thus there could be 2 different final evolution from starters depending on the time of evolution (? speculated). Something new to look forward to.

Also it is likely that there is no gyms, and you might have to create one yourself. Sounds like Pokemon Go.

I'm actually a big fan of the Alola Form Exeggutor, but I can see why people think it looks dumb. Hopefully they make more sense of the dragon typing in the game, because it's cool but it seems a little random. Although the fact that it can now use Draco Metor makes me laugh my ass off.

I wish the other Alola forms were more tropical though. I mean, I understand why they can be ice types, but I feel like it was a little bit of a missed chance. Hopefully there's other tropical Alola forms. The bird pokemon are kind of cool but uninspired imo, Minior is neat but just reminds me of Solrok. And the rest are all just fine.

The riding thing is kinda cool, I thought they had that already. I haven't played the last few games though. Totem pokemon seems weird, but I'm not complaining. Z-Moves are weird and I am kind of complaining, but at the same time like - whatever I guess. It's just a silly little mechanic.

I love the Alola forms, especially the Exeggutor! He was goofy before, now he's still goofy but more like a real coconut tree :p

Also, if those leaked final evolutions are true, I'm definitely getting the grass starter lol

Here's a video dump for all the new Pokemon, Alolan forms, Team Skull (bad guys), & Z-moves that haven't been posted.

A great explanation to Rattata's form change from Pokemon.com

Alolan Rattata

In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, you'll discover Rattata that are different from the Rattata you've met before. Unlike ordinary Rattata, urban areas are Alolan Rattata's main habitat. They are nocturnal and live in nests of several dozen. Alolan Raticate serve as their bosses.

As a countermeasure to the exploding Rattata population in the Alola region, Yungoos were imported and released. To better avoid Yungoos, Rattata changed their preferred environments and circadian rhythms. These adaptations to their new environment led to their changed form.

Alolan Rattata have an excellent aptitude for sniffing out delicious fresh foods in Alola. They pay no attention to foods that aren't fresh.

I have to admit I was skeptical about the new Pokemon games but after seeing all of these alternate forms of gen 1 Pokemon I'm actually looking forward to it a bit.
Also love the Z moves. Eevee using its Z move with Baton Pass is going to break the game though :\

Good. I'm tired of the meta only being about those stupid Genies. Of course you have to plan well because it's a one use per battle and a screw up wastes the stat boosts.
