Hi, I'm not sure whether or not I introduced myself originally when I joined (I'm sure this is something I could look up easily, I'll head that direction next), but as I am attempting to be more active in the community and find a sense of place, I figured I could give this a go again! 

 

I originally joined at the request of Tauriel after meeting her in a guild a two or so years back. I've always found that Codex has a much more welcoming feel and better quality people. 

 

For the sake of the assumption that I may one day complete the Newbie Scavenger Hunt, I will share some facts

 

1. I accidentally talked to a member of One Direction because of my job. Famous people don't seem real but apparently aren't quite aliens (as far as I  know) or cardboard cut-outs. 

2. I have an addiction to Nike Frees. 

3. I've been having dreams about my boss lately and that's a weird thing I can't get over. 

4. Music is one of the most important parts of my life. I love to listen to new music, go to concerts, and hear people be passionate about the bands and artists they love. 

5. I believe that long distance relationships can work out and lead to a successful long term relationship. 

6. I'm chronically bad at finishing television shows when I start them. 

7. I want to travel abroad more than anything else and haven't managed to do so yet. 

8. I love to read and am always open for new suggestions. 

 

 

I think that should do for now. I tried to think about some things I don't necessarily always share. Tell me about you. Help me transition into becoming active here. I truly respect everyone here very much and would love to learn and grow. 

 

I almost feel like I just wrote a job application. Weird.

Ironically it was Louis! My little sister was addicted to them for years and so when I talked to him I didn't realize who he was until about halfway through the conversation. So surreal. 

 

I really have wanted to finish reading GoT before watching but I'm tempted to give in *_* What shows do you like/have you binged?

My current smooze is a Mini Cooper S

 

I love my mini to death but boy oh boy its hard to drive long distances.  The Mrs keeps wanting me to get a 4x4 or estate, which I can kinda see where she is coming from but then my heart jumps in and says Noooooo dont you will hate it.

I also hear its hard with minis for maintenance? Ahah stick with your heart. I know a lot of car guys and know how passionate they are. I like the look of the BMW & Mini best. Not a huge fan of the Audi but I know a lot who swear by them. What does the Mrs drive?

As for bands I love:

 

Mumford & Sons, Cold play, Snow Patrol, Blink 182, Haime,  I could go on and on.  Its one of the best things about the internet IMO that you can listen to new bands so easily these days.  I have just got into using Soundcloud (I know im slow gimme a break ) and love the fact I can see so many artists that I have never heard of get recommended for me.

For whatever reason I can't get down with the shape. I have a 2015 Mazda 3  

 

Blink 182 and Snow Patrol are some of my favorite all time bands. I use Spotify and each week they make you a playlist of 3 hours of songs they think you'll like based on your other music you listen to. I love having access to so much music and new artists. If nothing else, the evolution and availability of music has been one of the most incredible parts of my adult life.

Yeah I totaly agree with you.  Last week my cousin from USA come over to visit and she used my Ipad to listen to some music and now the recommended songs I am getting are brill and from artists I have never heard off.

I really love mine. Especially the more recent model's shape. So lovely, I almost feel like a car person. My family all swear by Honda's however

Finish reading it first, then watch all the episodes right from the beginning! Seems like the best course to take unless you don't mind waiting for GRRM to finish his series. I binge watched Scrubs and The Office, sadly don't have more time for other series.

Yea same here, so I don't really blame Zayn for leaving even though I expected him to be out of the spotlight for longer. Guess some people are just made for the attention.

No Yeezy's for me, I don't get the hype. Plus the chance of actually coping them from the store and not from a reseller is crazy low. We have a hard enough time getting Ultra Boosts or NMDs here in Canada. Adidas has been doing a lot of collabs lately so I've got a paie with Undefeated and another one with Bape (Superstars). That sounds like a prettier sweet collection, lots of choices for different outfits.

Oh hey, Jared Leto, it's really cool that he's an actor as well and that he takes his roles serious. Heard he wanted to be referred to as Mr J while filming for Suicide Squad.

Hmm. Shows with only 1 season so far that I liked were Mr. ROBOT, Sense8 and Jessica Jones. Although they're all kind of slow starting. The Flash is kind of fun - there's nothing they won't touch in that universe. Although I'm more of a DC fan so I may be a bit biased. What kind of shows do you like to watch?

I have a list of mods that I'm going to end up adding to it at a later date. First one will be a Corksport exhaust system for that nicer note then some better rims and get it lowered xD

I wouldn't say starstruck necessarily? It was more of a weird feeling. It's hard to associate famous people with being real people. It's a strange phenomena. I don't think I'd ever want to be famous. Rich? Sure. Famous, nah.

 

That's what I'm thinking. All though I'll probably need to re-read because it's been awhile since I read the first few and I want to refresh my memory. I love The Office but have never watched it all the way through. I rewatch Grey's Anatomy over and over, along with Friends!

I feel like Zayn didn't necessarily want to be out of the spotlight, he just wanted to be more in control of his spotlight? From what I've heard, One Direction is very very highly monitored and only allowed to do certain things and act certain ways based on their contracts. He never quite accepted that control so I'm glad he got out.

 

I haven't worn Adidas since like, 8th grade. But I would consider it again. I never understood the Yeezy hype either although if I did get my hands on some, I would probably resell them tbh.

 

I'm stoked for Suicide Squad. Jared Leto is pretty intense and I hear he played a pretty sick Joker. Mr. J. That's hilarious. He's an interesting guy, did you ever hear about/watch his documentary on his experience with the music industry?

 

I have heard good things about Sense8! And The Flash too but I've never watched any of those. I like a variety of shows -- The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Criminal Minds, Quantico, Friends, The Bachelor/ette (guilty pleasure), Law & Order, House, etc. I would give anything a try probably.

 

I mean, I don't know. I'm 26 now, I'm only getting older. I work full time and will be graduating school soon (although I'll probably stick it out and get my masters), and I just feel like it wouldn't be a very responsible thing to do at this stage in my life? Maybe that's warped thinking.

I have a Meteor Grey Sedan! I really never got behind the look of the hatchback but it seems to have quite a bit of popularity. What influenced your decision in that direction? I'm never really added any mods to a car but prior to this I never really owned a car I actually like!
