Just scratched a Festering Fortune Scratchcard and got the reward to give a random pet a level.

Was wondering, is this common enough that it would be a realistic way to train a pet?

Presumably I would only keep 1 pet on the account and scratch 5 cards a day every day, is this a waste of my time/money?

I guess depend at your pet lvl and HSD.
If high lvl and HSD it worth cause expensive training cost :)

At a certain level, almost anything else is more worth it than doing actual training :p Neggs, scratch cards, certain faerie quests, etc.

^ This.

High level training is a nightmare

I mean you get 5 chances a day to upgrade your level using Terror Trove Scratchcards... imo its worth it because they cost like 800np a piece... spend 4k NP and you can get 0-5 levels on your pet...

True, depending on how high your level is, sc's aren't a bad tool of training.

it cant hurt, but i imagine itd be a very slow process... much like you wouldnt rely solely on coltzans shrine for stat boosts

In my personal experience, coltzans does a better job at giving out stat boosts at lower stats than higher ones.

Neat idea to use scratch cards to help do stat boosts though may give that a try once I get higher leveled.

That seems to be an odd way to go about things. Especially considering they're a little pricey but perhaps at a certain level. Good luck with training!

ive never won a  single thing from scratchcards. It may be less expensive but potentially completely ineffective.

I'd say no.

Scratchcards and kitchen quests actually become cost-effective pretty quickly, especially once you're paying multiple codestones/stat

This.

Once you have to pay 7-8 codestones, and it takes you 18+ hours to train it's much cheaper, and less time consuming to use quests/scratch cards.

Training schools are only worth it with low lvl pets imo.
