This is a debate I've always wanted to get started here.

Personally? I enjoy both, though I prefer PC greatly. While the xbox one and PS4 may have mods, those are very restricted.

With a higher end computer, you can set your graphics much higher than console as well.

Not to mention debugging mods is incredibly simple compared to console.

Plus. I just prefer the PC exclusives. Not to mention windows 10 will be getting xbox exclusives now too.

PC. Mostly because you can do a lot more than just gaming. But also because of other reason I'm not allowed to post about ;) (and I don't mean porn)

Oddly I know what you're talking about.

Personally though, I don't do that.

I prefer PC, it's what I have and what suits me best. However, I had always been a console guy and I still miss the days of just leaning back on my bed and playing. Also, most of my friends don't bother building a PC and so they just own a PS4. Now I cannot play with them. It's not something that really bothers me but still

Good for you :p

I just realized that sounds sarcastic, but I really mean it.

I actually have no idea what you are talking about.

I choose PC, mostly because I have had very few consoles in my life. And you can play everything on your computer with emulators anyway. But, I am not big into video games, which probably makes me an outcast here.

You can talk about it, you just cant post specific links outlining how to pirate. @Kaddict

Also, I've had many many consoles with the latest being a PS4. I don't like the limited mobility that a controller offers compared to a mouse and keyboard. There's also that I'm able to do so many more things on my computer compared to a console, this includes easily upgrading to new hardware when I want.

Oh and my favorite is when people who play First Person Shooter [FPS] games tell me how great they are. I wonder if they realize that most FPS games for consoles have auto-aim enabled in the settings by default.

You know, I would have always said PC but console has really grown on me. At the moment, I am exclusively a console gamer. But I wanted to get a desktop for gaming for quite a while (cough so I can play the sims cough).

I just think PC is cheaper (pirating) and tends to have less bugs and lag (from what I've heard) than console. So it may be better, but I have greatly enjoyed console so I'm happy to stick to that for now.

I'm going to assume donkey porn unless you tell me otherwise.

PC.
Used to game on consoles but I've always played the most and had the best time on a PC.
Cost really never affected me, I always got my games for free and through legal means (gifts & sponsorships.)
Also I'm handy with a mouse.
Controllers beyond an NES fck me up

PC. There is just so much more freedom to chose how you play. I can use a controller for the games that I want to with or I can use a mouse.

Ha. Thanks @Adam. That went way over my head. Arrr matey.

I have only played a PS a few times, and I am the worst person ever to have on a team in call of duty, bc when I get nervous I just start mashing both joysticks and start shooting straight up in the air. My hope is that the bullets will come down and hurt someone.

Oh and not to mention that a lot of console games are capped at 30FPS, and use a ton of motion blur to mask the jitteriness of the game. :puke:

So, I guess we can agree that the 2 things that make the internet popular (and that we aren't allowed to talk about here) have to do with finding booty?

Console because it came to my attention I only play multiplayer games that require people to be physically be in the same room as you to get the best experience. I almost play no single player games or mmos with the exception of games like ffix which I'll ask to be buried with.

For me I don't really have a preference but the systems are for different types of games. I use a laptop so the types of PC games I tend to play are usually more based around strategy (the likes of the Total War series or Football Manager etc) and I don't really like FPS games anyway while consoles are for games which require a controller or for drunken multiplayer sessions.

PC for the graphics and modability, if that's even a word. But I'm rubbish at gaming with a keypad and a mouse so I always use a wireless Xbox 360 controller. That's the only other console I have and I find it so much more intuitive.

I prefer console because it means I can still use my computer for other stuff while it takes 5000 years to update things.

I don't really know which one I prefer, maybe it's because I've always been too poor to afford actually good hardware and have gotten way more use out of my consoles in terms of gaming? That most of the series that I'm invested in are natively only available on consoles so I naturally lean towards them? I don't know but I guess I might have to go with consoles.

I mean, you can't really rely on emulating for everything, you know? There will probably never be a PS3 emulator, rumour has it that the 3DS/Wii U emulators are only coming along so well in such a short amount of time because the devs are using stolen code, graphical errors are commonplace and sometimes you run into games which are straight up unplayable. Plus, in my opinion, it feels nicer playing the games on the systems they were made for. Playing a SNES game with a knockoff PS2 controller with your browser in the background (or, say, full screen with whatever non-CRT filters installed) ruins the uh "immersion" for me. And I can't really imagine playing Crystal Chronicles or other local multiplayer console games on an emulator!! There are a load of console exclusives that will never ever come to PC too, sometimes they're games for consoles which can't be emulated yet. It's always really fun watching people cry about Bloodborne never leaving the PS4 :3c So while PC technically does have access to the highest amount of games around, it absolutely doesn't have access to all of them. Thanks to flashcarts/homebrew shenanigans you can still play a huge amount of your console games for free too (well, you have to pay for flashcarts but you know what I mean) so it's not like emulating is your only option....

And I seriously really don't care about modding at all :p It's great that the community can improve or drastically change a game themselves, but the idea that a game needs to be heavily modded in order to simply be enjoyable or even playable doesn't really sit well with me.

All that being said, handhelds (especially ones which are hacked and/or have access to flashcarts) are truly the best. You can get comfy wherever and play video games and not have to lug around a massive, heavy ``gaming" laptop that will likely either burn your thighs to a crisp or turn itself off in the middle of a game due to high temperatures or whatever else while the fans audibly run themselves to death. Tablets are nice too but it just isn't the same
