How would you pronounce it? Like Jack-Lynn or Jace-Lynn

I like it that way much better than Jaclyn. Especially with the E.

    Have you watched Storks?

That movie is so full of baby cuteness  and sweetness... I almost got diabetes xD

So, we watched Storks and loved it!!! It was super duper cute!

Well, Jacelyn is a no because his daughter's name is Kaitlyn... so no names with "lyn" or "lynn" attached. Any other ideas. I want a really cool name, feminine but not popular like Ashley or Britney. No typical cheerleader names or stripper names lmao!

    Name her Haruhi Suzumiya.

    Maybe Konata Izumi?

    I'm out of ideas.

Aw, that's probably for the best anyway if you really love Jaxon Tyler and still hope to use it someday (if you're planning on having more kids after this one, ofc).

Right now classic/older sounding names are really popular (like Charlotte, Amelia, Eleanor, Evelyn, Olivia etc.) but it doesn't really sound like that's your style. What about something sort of spunky (but still recognizable and feminine without being too flowery) like Phoebe, Naomi, Piper, Ruby, or Sadie (this one might be too close to Katie). Or maybe you could look for a name that has a certain meaning?

There are also baby naming apps you could try that work sort of like Tinder. You and your partner each swipe through a bunch of names and it saves all the names you both liked so you can review them together and narrow down your list.

    Congratulations by the way!

According to Babycenter these are "cool and creative girl names".

    Spoiler

If I have another I'm totally naming her Nova. That's awesome. Don't think it would go too well with my other two more traditional kids names!

I was browsing /r/namenerds earlier today (I don't have kids, just always been interested in names) and someone mentioned they named their daughter Fyora

Oh no, no more kids for me! one and done. I don't want to be 50 with kids living with me still. I mean, my daughter can stay with us as long as possible, but at 18 I no longer have to worry about feeding her (meaning making food lol, of course I would provide for her), telling her to clean her room, and what not. She can come and go as she pleases, and stay as long she wants to. Hopefully a man will come sweep her off her feet and take her away lol and get married. But no children under 18 once I turn 50! I want to focus on retiring and living a crazy awesome vacation retirement life.

I looooove Sadie, but we have a friend named Mersaidies and we call her Sadie, but Ryan doesn't like her because she makes dumb choices. Young and dumb she is and he has a thing with familiar names lol. I love Sadie though! Thanks for all of your suggestions @Trichomes

I love Fyora too but alas my man totally plays Neopets and knows where that name comes from lol. Nova is a wonderful name! I am going to pitch it at him (although, I have a feeling he will say no lol).

Haha I totally get that. I'm still on the fence about whether I want kids, but if I do eventually decide I want to be a mom, I'll most like only have (or adopt) one.

That's too bad. He sounds a lot pickier than you are, not that that's a bad thing! I think negative name associations can be a dealbreaker for a lot of people, even if they really like the name otherwise.

I know you said no names ending in -lyn/-lynn, but what about Jocelyn? It's very similar to Jacelyn, but doesn't share the same 'a' sound as Kaitlyn, so it's not as rhymey/matchy. You could use Joss or Josie as a nickname, which kind of has a similar feel to Sadie in my opinion. Josie could also work as a standalone name.

Lol nevermind then! Now I'm wondering if I subconsciously picked up the idea from Facebook or something after seeing your nickname. It's always weird when that happens.

It's okay to be picky (I know I certainly am). Choosing a name for your kid to live with for the rest of their life is a pretty important decision. You've still got plenty of time to find the right name though!

To be honest I find with kids we hardly ever call them their actual names.. Amelia thought her name was Jellybean for the longest time and Oliver goes by Doodlebug or Bug. They usually end up with a million nicknames  :lol2:

I am 20 weeks and 1 day along. And yeah pretty much a party, but not me... Just me and my man only in the room. Visitors can come when I say I am ready.
Oh and I fell asleep just fine last night, woke up at 4:45am and couldn't fall back to sleep until around 7am right after I my man left for work.

We're having a girl! Kinda sad right now, we really wanted a boy. But, we will love her just the same! I have a little princess in my belly! I am excited about that!

Doesn't she look like a little demon baby in this picture? I mean, it took the tech over 30 minutes for the ultra sound and 11 of them was trying to find the girl parts. Her face in this picture looks like she is yelling at the tech, "Leave me the f*ck alone!"

    Spoiler

haha, i just noticed this! I have been watching this thread, waiting for the announcement.. sorry.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! you get tampons!! :p You'll do great. :)

Good luck with names, and i hope that everything from here on in goes really well!! :)

And, we found a name we like but haven't committed to it yet. KIRA
