I know there are a lot of negative aspects to Neopets, but I thought I would focus on ways to improve it. These are my ideas...they are not necessarily good ones.

I would want...

The ability to have a template gui for those who don't want to code user lookups, shops, pet pages etc. So say I love my ixi, I could choose out of several styles of pet pages and add options like counters etc without any coding myself.

Quests that are actually useful.


Much much better shop and trades search system

Slightly animated pets. Blinking, footstomping etc

Clean up dead areas of the site that have no use.

Allow replay of plots. Play Brucey b plot for access to desert, sloth for space station etc

Allow NC to be spent on items we actually want like potions and paint brushes

If plots get replayed you'd have the people who participated when they first came out screaming about unfairness and not, and it'll cause more issues. A new plot might be better to bring back older players who may have left. And with NC for potions and PB's, it's unfair to users who may not have money for NC, and may make it seem like the more real money you pay, you can get a much better account, if you've got money. If you can't spend money, too bad, out of luck!

 

As for quests, we have faerie quests, which are useful for BD stats and painting your pets should you get a fountain faerie quests. Unless you meant the Jhudora and Illusen quest lines. Those are somewhat useful for avatars, trophies, and getting good BD weapons/petpets (though you have to go all the way to the top for that). It'd be nice though if they gave a bit more for the money you spend completing them. Brain Tree quests and Epsograr (however you spell it) quests really are only useful for trophies. Enda is useful for the avatar. Kitchen Quests can hand out BD stats, so they're somewhat useful. 

 

Animated pets would be wonderful, I'd love to see a faerie pet flapping it's wings!

I second this. I want Punchbag Sid. I want BD plots like Meridell/Darigan stuff. Like if it was a combo of BD and puzzles. Ugh yes please.

I'd say they should revamp games. Create some new, interesting ones (we're not in 2006 anymore... enough bad flash games), organize the games a little more (eg. separate things like scratchcards from actual games, if some new player is randomly clicking games and thinks all the games are like the scratchcard game, they'd think they all suck). Also things like animations for pets etc would be a great quality of life change.

 

There should also be more ways to interact with the community. Multiplayer games should be common onsite and there should be more interactions between pets somehow. Right now the game is EXTREMELY solitary, besides the censored boards and trading. There is 0 sense of community.

Yeah. Especially since the neofriend component is broken and has been forever.

I like the idea of making interaction more common. 

They need to fix the old shockwave games too. A bitch needs her avs. lol

New plot. Fix the broken games, add some new games. Fix the broken avatars. Second new plot.

 

Seriously plots are the #1 way to keep players sticky during the event.
