Hey guys. I just finished playing life is strange last night. Man, what a depressing game  :( That game definitely took its toll on me emotionally. Have any of you played it? What do you think?

Also what other games have you played that were particularly emotion evoking?

I've never heard of it. I'll have to check it out. There was a game that fucked me up (I watched my hubs play it) it was Last of Us. I love games that make you feel shit. This is going to sound silly but Stardew Valley gave me serious feels with the different character storylines.

I saw JackSepticEye play Life is Strange. This game has such a good narrative.

The game that had an emotional toll on me is Steins;Gates ∞ (Technically, it's known as 0, but it is a Möbius Strip). Following the depressive Okabe with his coping mechanism is a heavy toll. I found myself crying 4~5 times while playing the game.

Another game that had an emotional impact on me is Zero Escape Volume 2: Virtues Last Reward in the Luna ending. I still find myself looking at full moon with Blue Bird Lament playing in the back ground. Zero Escape Volume 3: Zero Time Dilemma got me from start to finish though.

The walking dead season 1 almost got me to tear up, I had a lump in my throat and shit.

Life Is Strange was okay but so depressing, I played it with a friend and half way through we started calling it depression simulator 2k16 or something. Started dubbing over her voice and making everything more depressing to the point where I couldn't take it seriously anymore. Then at the end some of the cut scenes got fucked up, the other girl's mouth stopped working but she kept speaking, and it looked like she was Voldemort's reincarnation. We were laughing for 30 minutes straight and the last chapter's seriousness got completely ruined  ^_^

Final Fantasy X. That was definitely the most emotional I have ever gotten over a videogame.

I haven't seen "To the Moon" mentioned, it's an amazing indie game on Steam. Lots of feels in that one

As a kid, I felt so bad when my monster in Monster Rancher would die.  Kingdom Hearts is another game that made me feel emotional. It's the nostalgia of Disney coupled with an intricate story line that really brings out the feels.

Many great games have that impact I feel. Chrono Trigger (I didn't play Cross, oops), Witcher 3 to a certain extent, Dragon Age: Inquisition certainly. Really must finish The Last of Us too.

The one which really had an impact on me. Must be the Fallout: New Vegas DLCs however. Honestly, if you are familiar with them, they all link up in a grand story arc past (but linked to) the main storyline. Characters change and grow and travel through an amazing variety of landscapes, with different tones and paces for each DLC. Thinking back on them, I am still overwhelmed, even though I don't even have that Xbox 360 set up anymore.

Resident Evil 3, and I wasn't even playing, just translating.

The terror was pretty much real.
