Have you ever put wayyy too much thought into replying to a post?... and your reply ends up being wayyyyyy long?.... and pretty much everyone just skips over it... or if people do read it they are like... "0_o... they just wrote way too much about that".  Its like your reply becomes outcast from the rest of the thread because it is too damn long.

I do this type of stuff a lot.  I just think it is funny.  What do you guys think?

I someti'mes put a lot a thought into my posts and think of what to write

then I write... about half way I stop and think "... maybe it's a bit too long.. and.. pointless"

so I jus don't post anything and look at another thread :p haha

I tend to skip posts and lurk around because I don't have any opinions what so ever about the certain topic.. or someti'mes it's just way too complicated to express my self.

There is a spammy git inside all of us. Just some of us choose to let it out, and the others take great joy in thwapping it with a devon roll.

New members tend to get the devon roll more often though.

I post a lot and I make long posts all the ti'me just like this one that will most likely be skipped. I think its because the people on codex dont really want to waste their ti'me reading a post like that because its way too long. its probably like the news post that I posted a while back on the invite mod. I bet almost no one read the full post but just probably ski'mmed it to see what it meant. I do it to long posts too because frankly I really dont want to read a post if I am not sure that they are going to say something I'mportant and you can never really be sure that they will truly say something I'mportant if you havent read it...so ur screwed either way...if you dont read it, u miss out on something I'mportant but if you do read it and they didnt talk about something I'mportant then u know that you just wasted 5 minutes of precious life...when you are dying you will remember that ti'me you read that stupid ass post on neocodex and will hate it for wasting 5 minutes of precious life....and see...after you read it, you can never get it back...its just like this post...after you get done reading it you realize that I didnt really say anything I'mportant in it and that you also just wasted about 5 minutes of life :) ...enjoy and please dont hate me :( :) :p

Yes I know what you mean AUS, hit the nail dead on for me. It really angers me when I put so much effort into a post that most people just ignore it or post some idiotic reply. Grr. I rarely post long posts.

I tend to do that, but never as a large chunk of writing, I always paragraph it off (if it's -really- long I might even use subheadings!) so it makes it a little easier on the eyes. :p Hopefully people are more enticed to read it then but I'm not sure...

its probably like the news post that I posted a while back on the invite mod. I bet almost no one read the full post but just probably ski'mmed it to see what it meant.

Just try to make your posts shorter, it's true they are too long depending on their contents.

I don't mind long posts really. They do have to be interesting though but I'm not easily bored so I can cope with some pretty dull things and still keep interested. That probably didn't make any sense. You see you lot at least have to type something before you lose all point and purpose, I manage it second line in :p
