Actually, if they were greedy, they WOULD come after you and try to collect the 500 dollars...it would be a major profit for them rofl ( if  it worked)

Not unless their attorney's are salary employees. But most likely the attorney costs/travel expenses for them would far surpass the $500 they'd take in.

    Did they sue somebody already??

    not that I know of

I really dont think they will actually sue somebody, I mean it probably there to scare ppl off u know. Kinda like the RIAA and P2P servers ( only they did it for real lol)

but I dont think TNT have the guts to do that bbecause, most of the ppl on Neopets are kids

secundo they changed the terms, when most of u signed up with neopets, this rule WASNT there, therefore, it doesnt apply.

tertio, neopets is a free website, how can they sue you for something you dont even pay for and the damages caused by programs doesnt even cause money lost to TNT.

Its all a bunch of bs to me and even if they do manage to sue somebody, I wont stop  :p

I sincerely recommend that you get a few more facts before you talk about what they can and can't do. They can sue for the things they are acbecauseing us of...it's just that those claims aren't exactly true. Neopes may be a free site, but so is every single p2p client you've probably downloaded from and you can easily be sued for that.

also, their terms state that as long as you use the site, you agree to their terms and that they dont have to inform you of changes in their terms. if you logged in to read that term change, you agreed to it :( . the legality of the term change is another story.

It's not just the programs...it's the fact that we've all been sloppy about them, not posting copywrights when needed, not indemnifying ourselves from liabilites....but things are better now and everyone is much more careful

You know what I have to say to neopets about that? I dont even have 50 grand so sue me! Anyway I'm underage, and I think TNT is to  damn lazy to send out all those forms, so I'm going to keep using those programs and no one can stop me!  :p
