the only reason I got the photo is because of the color screen

I went with the regular iPod. If the photo thing is that important, I'm sure you can find another means that's just as convenient and cheap as the iPod is.

There's nothing wrong with the normal iPod so I'd save your money and get that.

No, it's not worth the extra $50 to me. I've got plenty of room for pics on my laptop and I don't exactly go around showing people my pics so the mobility provided by the photo iPod isn't that great.
Color screen would be cool, but it doesn't make the music sound any better.

Mind telling us why something with a 12 hour battery and 40 gigs of music storage "sucks?"

okay so 40gb that you cant change is better then a hdmd how? they can be purchased with a battery with a similar battery life and can have a wider range of songs just buy more discs.
a pocket pc has more uses then an ipod does an ipod is just used for music while a pocket pc for around the same price has wireless internet amongst other things. mind you it does have a smaller space for music, but you can always buy a few 4gb cf cards to hold all your music needs.

IPods are bought for MP3 use ONLY maybe even pictures. And its also small and compact

Photo iPod, they are 10 gigs more and color. Thats the reason I got um.

well I'm buying a new ipod and I am curious if I should get the photo ($359 usd) or the regular ipod ($300 usd) I really dont have any use for the photo but I can imagine when MP4's get bigger, the photo will be able to support it. the regular ipod, will not
PSP...it does all of that...

Considering having had both of the two, I think the Ipod Photo is better if you dont mind the money. COlor + pictures = good

Ewwww, iPod... Where is ali when you need her, gosh! You fools need to be educated about iPod... the only thing iPod has going for it is its stupid clickwheel. Go Creative man, jeez. Creative Zen Micro to replace your iPod mini, and Zen Xtra to replace your 20, 40, or 50 gig iPod. Pictures? Who needs pictures? MP3s are all I need foo!

Yeah. But the 200 dollar one costs 100 dollars less for 16 GB less. not worth the deal, also less battery power

Dude, iPod's clickwheel is why it's so cool. That is the reason why I hate other MP3 players. Also, if you want color screen and other cool features, you should check out an iRiver! chris... ipodphoto... man its not too more (unless your buying your ipod like id id for like 150 bucks) trust me there are so many times when I wish I had pics/movies on my ipod that it could play.... go for it bro!
Are pics really worth that much more to you? Just get a digital cam ya know? I mean what good is something that you can just store/look at pics with...can't do much else.

yea my friends told me to go with the reg ipod, but the photo is so tempting (even coming from a hot girl)
