It ends basically in a draw, with both fighting on top of Mt. Fuji, basically equal, and then they keep fighting until they're both in the ocean, and eventually both end up underwater. We can't see the fighting then, but only King Kong surfaces, and swims back to his island.
However, we know that Godzilla survives, and the next Godzilla film starts with him coming up from the ocean floor. So what happened?
Odds are that even underwater, King Kong gained the upper hand over Godzilla, who either feigned defeat, or did get beaten severely enough to pass out/be rendered immobile, but he still survived underwater.
So who'd win? From the looks of it, King Kong would win, but he'd have to make damn sure that Godzilla was dead.

Plus Godzilla can surive a nuclear holocaust, King Kong can't. Also Godzilla can reproduce...somehow..() and Kong can't.
So in the end it's prettttttty obvious, King Kong is just a fat monkey.

KK v GZ? Made in 1962 by Toho. Yeah I've seen it. But I made the assumptions others havent. It was the first technicolor king kong and godzilla movie. There's already an answer to this. Has anyone ever seen King Kong Vs. Godzilla?

I'm refering to the new godzilla and king kong after King Kong lives. The godzilla who died because he was so powerful his body couldnt even take the power of him. Its said his normal breath attacks were around 3230 c, wiping out Kong.
They need to make a sequel where they face off again.

The only reason King Kong beat Godzilla in that movie is because King Kong was raised up to the size of Godzilla, and lightning powered him.
