Hey everyone, just got an account so im a n00b around here so heres a quick summary of myself:

My real name is Lithiumsdf9dfnn239df but I just go by Lithium, its alot shorter. I'm a regular businessman by day and a stealth ninja assassin by night...

But seriously, I'm only 18 years old, but I've been programming since the 4th grade (that would be about age 9 or 10). Started off making my own version of a hello world app for the Apple IIe [it asked your name and responded "hello, yourname!"] From there I went on to learn QBasic and HTML. A few years later my friend shared a copy of VB6 with me, so I was finally able to start developing useful programs. Around that same time I learned Javascript, although I forgot half of it already. I've also become extremely 'fluent' in PHP and I still use VB6 alot, so I consider those as my 2 primary languages. I've looked at C/C++ but I just never get around to learning it. I do alot of website design too, and the PHP really comes in handy sometimes.

So why did I come here?

A few weeks ago I found a random HTTP wrapper for VB6 and got the idea to make a program to automatically take care of my daily neopets links for me. [although the whole 'cute little animal thing' can be annoying sometimes, I just love making those NPs lol]. I also started making one in PHP, because its a far better language IMO but it lacks the whole pretty GUI thing. So I'm stuck between two languages. And I wanted to know if anybody had any source code I could incorporate. So I'm here to both learn, and offer any assistance to anybody that would want it.

See you guys around!

By all means, go hang out in the programming section. XD

And being 18 isn't too young here. Some of our best programmers are 14 years old. I personally am 19, so yeah. Be sure to read up on the rules of conduct here. Come join us in the general chat area, let us get to know you a bit better. Welcome to Codex!
