This tool is designed to remove the infections of W32.Blackmal.E@mm.

The Removal Tool does the following:

1. Terminates the associated processes
2. Deletes the associated files

This is a very huge threat; most protection programs do not have protection against this file.

More Information at:

Wouldn't we have said if we had this virus, does it really need a topic?
Anyway what are some of the things this virus can do to your computer, was it the one that activated at midnight?

The only antivirus that will detect this is Symantec. So yes, it does need a topic, that is unless you want to get your computer owned. (It won't work if you get this.)

I have no idea what that is and probably does not have a chance against this threat.

Ubuntu is a Linux distro.. the virus can't affect Linux.

    W32.Blackmal.E@mm

So, what does the virus actually DO?

EDIT: Nevermind, read the link you gave.

This new virus that was launched today rewrites .doc files and a whole bunch of files that you probably don't want it to.

    Lo'noob.

How would I be the noob if you have no idea what your saying half the time in this topic? I don't intend to play silly arguing games with you as I may get in trouble, or maybe on the other hand, make you look worse.

Was this the one that activated at midnight, cause I heard that one was deadly and I had to do an vet update.

EDIT: I didn't say you were a noob. Or mean it, I said lonub. Which is sif. If you don't understand you don't need too.
EDIT2: Lol at silly arguing games.. remember those emails you used to spam me with calling me "Noob"?

Much appreciated! Thanks for this. I doubt I have it on this computer but I am on a network so it could've infected the other computers and it spreads using the Shared Documents so you never know, I could have it.
I don't think this is the one activated at midnight, that one could be removed easily with a decent AV.
