What does everyone think of the new shops/items?

The profit in rsing/abing there at the moment is great. Particularly the petpet shops. The new petpets have been stocking very frequently at just 2-5k each, and are being sold for 50k-200k. (Silly people buying them for that much when they'll soon be the most common and cheap petpets on the site). Rs there before the prices drop dramatically

As for the weapons, they also seem to be stocking quite reguarly... and also seem very weak. I think TNT is intentionally taking a common/cheap approach with Altador.

It's not on the map yet I don't think. I've just been editing the url to say altador/index...

My guess is it will be that small section of land just to the right of Meridell, when TNT gets around to placing it on the map. Or it could be within another realm... but that's unlikely as Altador seems to be based upon the Roman Empire/Ancient Greece.

I don't know, barely have enough time to play GOOD games let alone Neopets ones

I wonder why TNT went and placed it there. :| It seems to have the potential to be one of the main worlds of Neopia. And there's a great big patch of land inbetween Meridell and Maraqua which would be perfect for it.

...but no, they decide to put in the window of a faerieland tower instead.

It's the other side of neopia. They can't just add it onto the existing side can they?

Well, the map should rotate or something... ...you shouldn't teach little kids that the world is flat.

altador is located in faerie city. if you go to faerie city, you'll see a vortex in the sky, so just click it and youre in altador.

People pay alot for brand new petpets because they know that if they attatch it right away its pretty much a garunteed PPL trophy for them. =P

The land is based on ancient greece/rome, it should have an emperor or senate instead of a king :blink:

I don't think the Ancient Greek or Roman rulers would have seen themselves as Kings, and they certainly would not of given themselves that title. After all, the title "King" originated from the Germanic languages. The Romans certainly liked to consider themselves of higher status than the Germanic tribal rulers, so the title emperor, one who rules an empire (or something similar) is a more likely candidate.
Indeed it wasn't really until the middle ages that the title "king" was considered to mean a sole ruler of a nation. Prior to that you had numerous small pockets of land ruled by self-proclaimed "kings" throughout Europe.

You are right though, the aristocracy was very much dominant. It's easy to look at the word emperor and think dictatorship. Not so.

But then, this is Neopets... and it isn't like them to stick to History. Unless an elite team of dinosaurs really did hold council at a town hall in a bid to stop the pesky monoceraptor.

I've been waiting for this new world for a while. Too bad I couldn't benefit from all the new shops .
