I'm leaving for New York City bright and early Thursday morning and I'm super excited. I have never been! I'm going to be in NYC for 7 days and then I'm going to be in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 3 days.

I am so ready for this break.

Anything special I should know about New York? Places to go? Things to see? Things to do?

Half of my family lives in Queens and Bayside, they are considered the "rick folks" in new york.

For me, New York is boring, seen all that there is to see, considering I have family up there.

I hope you have fun Sham! I'd reccommend some places but the only time I've actually done anything in NYC was when I went in the world trade center towers in 2000

Krn's right. Watch out for some rude people :p

When I was there... even the FIREFIGHTERS were rude!

They were bringing a hose into a building for some reason... I don't know why because there wasn't even a fire. They were bringing it into the Gap O_o But anyways... my mom was stepping over the hose and all the sudden they lifted up the hose and tripped my mom and then no one even offered to help her up! It was horrible... I mean... there was no fire... it wasn't an emergency... the captain or whoever was in charge finally ordered someone to help her up after a bit and asked if she was okay but that was about 30 seconds later and she was almost up already. The worst thing is she fell hard and ended up having some soft tissue damage in her lower hand where she fell and hurt some of the tendons so she wasn't fully recovered till about 6 weeks later. Rawr! >_<

Anyways... besides rude firefighters I like the city :p It has WONDERFUL places to eat! You've gotta have some italian food both in PA and NYC. When there's a big italian population in the cities they tend to have very good italian food. It's authentic too :D My dad grew up in Phili so that was one of the first things we were taught, lol. Oh, and since they're on the water they have wonderful sushi too. It was so good! Do try to go out to eat as much as possible, lol. It's worth it ^_^
