I don't know if it exist or how I would go about making it.

Basically I need a stand alone Web Browser. I want it to be able to be all self contained in a folder, that way I can just put it on a thumb drive and move it around.

What it needs to do is simply act as a proxy server so that I can by pass web filters at work and school.

I don't know if their is one already out their or if there is a way to create one or what. Hopefully someone can help me.

most web filters don't matter what browser you are using, they monitor the traffic at the gateway

I use a program called HTTPTunnel it works very well. They have two versions a low bandwidth version that is free and a high bandwidth version that costs. IT works for web sites, torrents and ftp sites.

This web filter is bypassed by cgi proxies like the ones found on Proxy.org, but all of them have been blocked now, and the new ones we find that work are almost blocked immediately. I was hoping their is some way, I could load something into a jump drive so that just I could use it and not worry about it getting blocked in a day.

    Are they using bess???

If they are then Just Install Portable Firfox on a ThumbDrive and it shuld work because if there like at my skewl...They just put up a Server that is optional to connect to and they set all the browsers to connect to that server with a Proxy and then that proxy server says.Is this a good site or a bad site...IF not it just goes str8 out...thats why we installed a real version of firefox 2 the My Documents folder :D thats what i luv about firefox...u dont have 2 have Admin Privlidges..And if that dosent work for u do it the hard way Ping everything that almost always will work and when u ping it Just Navigate to the IP not the Domain name ^.^
And if your about to say im not allowed 2 open up Cmd. then theres an easy solution open up a notepad and type in "Command.com" and then save it to your Pin Drive as "cmd.bat" and Run that. it will bring up cmd...if it opens then closes recheck the code and make sure to make it read only....because i do belive that there was sumin in Novell to stop it by adding a snipit above the command.com part...but if all that fails then post and ill think up sumin new lol

I have already tried all that. We have novel.

I took in my thumb drive today and tried portable FireFox. It gave me a error saying that I was not allowed to open that.

Command is the same way. Even when i put it as read only it says that I do not have permission.

a bypass proxy program could help you get through and access everything from the net. google for bypass proxy and you get a lot of hits. and if they block it at gateway then nothing you can do :)
