Hey. I am looking to buy a reasonably cheap External Hard Drive. I would like it to be a 40+ GB hard drive as i wish to store large amount of data on there. So far I have found this one

* 40GB SEAGATE 2mb cache 7200rpm external hard drive with shock & data protection and silent fan for cool operation and long life.
* USB2 A-B Lead (also works with USB1).
* Power supply with plug.
* Stand.
* Driver CD (not required for XP).
* The box that the unit is supplied in also has a carrying handle.
* The size of the unit is Width 12.2cm, Depth 21.6cm, Height 3.3cm (when laid flat).
£29.99 from eBay UK.

If anyone can help me find a better deal in the UK, I would be most greatful!

You're better off buying bigger than 40gigs.. but get that one if you don't want to spend too much.

Mine is this:

(but I bought it for £80 when it was on special offer at PC World.) Just shop around and see what offers are around

I have a thing about buying computer components off ebay, just incase.. remember it doesnt have a warranty.....

Also why do you want a portable one? Just so you can move it when you move?
