Yup, just saw it. To be honest, it was a bit of a dissapointment. Too much of a cross between Titanic and Deep Blue Sea, it was also overly predictable and too many characters survived till the end <_< The visuals were pretty good though, for the most part.

Yeah, I know it's been out in the US for like a month, but it's pretty recent over here in the UK.

Any of you guys seen it?

too many characters survived?? lol I guess you kinda get used to only like one or two people surviving in horror type movies.. :p But I guess Poseidon is more of a action movie, but I still get what you mean about people suriviving... Just weird to actually read it..In real life it would be soo great if more people survive a horrible accident like what happened to the "Poseidon" , but in movies like "Poseidon" it is expected to have high fatality rates with inventive death scenes leaving only a select few alive to tell the story.. lol :p

Exactly! Like 6 of 'em survived till the end <_< And when someone was going to die, bloody hell it was predictable. Like right at the beginning with the Valentine guy, saw that from a mile away. And of course the dweeby little kid, I REALLY wanted him to die, but NOOOOO Dylan had to save him from drowning :p
Look at Resident Evil, same kinda theme with the trying to escape from somewhere dangerous, 'xept it was a much better film 'cause everyone but Milla Jovovich died.

I really liked it, just because the idea of being trapped in a sinking boat terrifies me, and I like that 'terrified/excited' feeling. :p

And...it had Emmy Rossum in it! -dancedance-

The only thing I disliked was that, to me, the rogue wave looked really, really fake. D:

Yeah I agree, some of the visuals were awful! Like a few times, the flames looks terribly fake (though they were good for the whole part). Who was Emmy Rossum? :p

I didn't think it was too bad. The acting was better than quite a few movies, and the character development was there. The plot was over the top though.

Nah, i'd still take her. Smaller children are easier to please, not quite so critical. :p Nothing else good is out anyway, unless you wanna give her nightmares everday with The Omen, or turn her into some tomboy car racer with F&F: Tokyo Drift :p

Compared to the other films on right now, it's only worth downloading. Not worth paying for when you consider the other films you could be watching.

Why do you guys get it so cheap <_< I gotta pay £5.20 which i'm sure converts to more than $8.50 :p

Saw it a little while ago. I have to agree, I was somewhat disappointed. I did enjoy the movie though, it's just I was expecting a little more. I think it was a good concept but just was executed a bit off. Within the first 30 minutes the boat already sinks, so you don't get to know or even care about some of the characters. Some people did die but not as many as I was expecting. Some of the more likeable characters of course were the ones that died first.

actually i felt the movie was not bad. tons of actions and some of scenes were quite exciting. on the comment that too many ppl survived, do you expect only dylan to walk out alive? he may be smart, but he can't get out without the help of others too.

hmm the plot & character development may be a little not up to expectations, but as a guy watching this action movie, i feel it's really not bad.
