I don't know, I was up at 4:30 one morning at an episode was on. It seemed alright. But I just wanted to get some opinions on whether the series is like the movie, which is better, etc. etc.

Ghost in the shell is my fave anime film of all time
I love the SAC 1st GIG and watched it all back to back one weekend, you really need to think of the whole set of episodes as one long film (as lots of threads tie into each other across the whole set of episodes)
personally i still prefer the first film over the SAC 1st gig, but they are all good
the 2nd gig is looking good too, altho i've not watched all of them yet - and the 2nd film is excellent too

I saw some episode from the 2nd GIG.
I don't know, sniping always interested me, and it was about a sniper, so it worked out.
I want to watch the first film, then start watching the episodes from the 1st GIG.
(Or should I watch the first film, then second film, then series?)
Since I'm late on this, I'm trying to figure out which order I should go in so I can stay up-to-date on everything.

i think the correct order would be to watch film1, 1st gig, second film, 2nd gig - but if you get the 2nd film before you get 1st gig, watch it anyway
the only thing i would say, watch the GIG episodes in order!! (this is very important for both 1st and 2nd gig's - do not skip an episode

I am a big fan of the movie, but not as big of a fan as the show.
The movie is quite different than the series, but there are some similarities.
You'll enjoy watching it

Is this the thing where there's these robot tanks and some androids?
If it is that show, I don't like it

I saw the movie about 5 years ago, but didn't really understand it.. so I can't really give a decent opinion. I wouldn't mind seeing it again, though...
If anything, I'd probly be able to grasp it better at 18 than I could at 13 years old
