G'day, I'm peanut and it's been an hour since I joined. Why did I take so long to post?! Well of COURSE I had to read through all the rules and familiarise myself with the forum before attempting to introduce myself. I don't want to mess up and create a bad first impression now!

I'm really hoping to become involved with the GFX team since I am a Graphic Designer by trade. I'm not sure whether I'm talking too much already :sorry: as a lot of the other newbie posts simply said "I'm new, thought I'd say hi" (or a similar mono-lined introduction to that effect).

And yes, it is true - I AM crazier than a coconut, but we all go a little bit mad sometimes don't we?! :yahoo:

I look forward to spending some time here getting to know people (as long as my 6 month old son permits me the time! :p ) ... I guess I'll go and jazz up my profile a little bit, and maybe head over and look around the graphics forum a little.

Cheers!
Peanut.

P.S. Is there a spell checker for this thing? I hate making mistakes with my spelling ... I used to get called "Ms. Perfect" because of my pedantic behaviour with spellling and grammar.

Hello and welcome to the board :). I hope you enjoy it here :).

Spell checking - a mod would be required for that :p. I would think it would require ajax...lets just say we have to be extra careful :p. No one is going to jump on you though for spelling something wrong once in a while :).

Way to start  I guess you already have a good understanding of the board, its layout, that stuff. Wow, why did I just use stuff in a sentance, it has to be the most bland word ever :S

Already jumping into GFX? Wow, sounds interesting. We have some people who are amazing with Photoshop or whatever they use now. Dont worry, your not typing too much, when someone introduces themselves like this it seems like I get to know you better right from the begginning, even though I dont :p. Wait, I did, your a Graphics designer :)

Dont worry about your spelling and grammar as long as it cannot be compared to some AIM convos I have been in. If its a tough word Ill cut you slack, if its 3 AM in your local time I may cut you slack, if its an easy word but just a typo Ill cut you slack, if your name is Darkness I wont cut you slack :p :p :p Ive been on his case because he cant spell to good when its 2 AM in his local time.

So basically I love new people because they are, well new. I hate new people threads though because they are usually full of spam. That is why I hardly ever post in them.

You however have caught my eye. You have made a great first impression and I look forward to seeing you around. If you need any help with anything just send me a PM and I will be glad to help you out. *actually I will probably send you a PM first.*

Wow. :p Honest to say, I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve graphics-wise. :p I'm sure the GFX Team would love for you to be on their team, the only thing is that I think they have a limitation set so that you have to spend a minimum of two weeks on the board before you make an application (you may have to ask Tetiel and Fox, the two Graphics Leaders about that).

Anyways, welcome to Neocodex and I look forward to seeing you on the board! :D
