Isn't there some software that let's you operate a Windows OS on a Mac? Or is it the hardware that wont run BF2?

Yeah I downloaded it, however it's VERY slow.. but with the new intel based macs it's probably faster, however I doubt you will be able to find drivers for your mac gfx cards for windows..

<_< Linux is only great if you have patience and about 15-20 hours to spend getting things to run right. Honestly, I doubt that's what he's looking for.

Solution. Downlaod Linux (Kubuntu is teh sexeh!). WHoever said dual boot windows and OSx, you are a fucking moron. Mac and Windows have completely different hardware types. Linux can run on a Mac (PowerPC) and on a regular PC, but Mac can not run on a PC, nor Windows on a PowerPC.

Just dual boot Linux, Linux is damn sexy. Trust me, you will fall in love once you get the feel!

Wow, Cataliste, welcome to a year ago. :D

Mac now runs on an Intel chipset. Meaning Windows XP can be installed AND it works perfectly.
Go to apple.com and look up "Boot Camp:" Apple's own software that will install XP on the machine (provided you have an installation disc).

That is saved for the "OMG WHO IS BETTER" thread. Flame wars abound in that area.

I never have any of those errors in very unlucky situations. I only receive errors like that when I'm pushing the system too hard and/or trying something I haven't before.

Just get a iMac and use a boot loader. Mac OS X for work, Windows XP for gaming. Yummy.

Yep. I actually agree to this. That is why I myself do not have a new iMac :p
If I work next summer though, I can get one with an employee discount, or even free if my employer pays for it with a member grant.

Its odd. I never get that error in photoshop or flash, and I work in both a lot. I usually get it in corrupt programs. Like if I just downloaded a program and I opened it then BAM error. Close it, open it again, same thing happens. It never just happens for no reason. I would recomend doing a disk check or something D:
