The one feature I miss from my creative, was the ability to make a playlist on the spot so if you want one song from one album, then have another song from another random album play, you can cue it up.
Ipods dont have that

I actually am looking for a new MP3 player and I have a budget of 300 - 400$ for a new one.
I have to go but when I get back, I'll help you.

So yeah.. if you've got 10,000 songs in your library ipod or plan to have like 50 movies ipods are the way to go. But I find all that space unnecessary and prefer iRivers anyday.
iRivers = cheapter; sexier; smaller

iRivers are good, but also, look at Cowon. Superior sound quality mixed in with good customer service and a pretty good price. iPod is way overrated.Nothing beats iPods price vs memory space. However, they do break and scratch waaaaaaaay too easily and I find the design unattractice.

The only reason i'd have an ipod is if it was free or considerably cheaper than any alternative (and i mean like at least £100 cheaper...)

I guess the same could be applied to an iPod. It's not the best, works good for most, others hate it. It has a bunch of add-ons and it's easy to use.
