a·sex·u·al Audio pronunciation of "asexual" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (-sksh-l)
adj.

1. Having no evident sex or sex organs; sexless.
2. Relating to, produced by, or involving reproduction that occurs without the union of male and female gametes, as in binary fission or budding.
3. Lacking interest in or desire for sex.

This is a poll to your orientation and usually when you refer to an asexual orientation you're referring to the third definition.

Geez every post I go into today seems everyone wants to argue with me sad.gif

Pansexuality (sometimes referred to as omnisexuality) is a sexual orientation characterized by a potential aesthetic attraction, romantic love and/or sexual desire for anybody, including those people who do not fit into the gender binary of male/female implied by bisexual attraction. Pansexuality is sometimes described as the capacity to love a person romantically irrespective of gender. Some pansexuals also assert that gender and sex are meaningless to them.

    QUOTE(wikipedia.com @ Jul 16 2006, 05:40 PM) View Post
Asexuality is a general term or self-designation for people who find sexual behavior unappealing, or who feel indifferent towards it. There is debate as to whether this is a sexual dysfunction or an actual sexual orientation; furthermore, there is disagreement over the exact definition of the word. The term is also sometimes used as a gender identity by those who believe their lack of sexual attraction places them outside the standard definitions of gender. There has been little research done on asexuality, but those studies that have been conducted suggest that, if it is a sexual orientation, it is among the least common.

    That should clear up everything

Biologically yes but not in the context that I was talking about.

For pansexuals the sex and the gender don't matter. Bisexuals only go for people who are male and female.

Why are these rehashed within 3 months of each other? I find it pretty strange that there are different members within 3 months. However, my vote goes towards Straight. I've been bicurious, and even thought I might have been Bisexual for a while, but I pretty much shifted gears to straight when the feelings went away.

About asexuality? It means you have no attraction to a specific gender. It doesn't mean they cannot be sexually aroused, or will throw up to any types of pornography. Stars such as Marlon Brando were asexual. This is different from Asexual reproduction, which is what you are probably thinking of.

What about pansexuality? It means you enjoy all genders, including shemales, preop transexuals, etc. Though not commonly emphasised as a difference between bisexuality, they are not the same.

Hermraphodites are just people who have a penis and a vagina when they are born. Pansexuals enjoy everyone. By everyone, I am referring to anybody with a sexual organ, including:

    -- Men
    -- Women
    -- Hermraphodites
    -- Women with male genitals
    -- Men with female genitals
    -- Preop transgenders
-- Any gender with multiple penises
