Anyways, me and my friends have become extremely bored as of yet. While browsing the great catacomb that is YouTube, we found the evolution of dance. What we were thinking "If some out of shape white guy can do this, I can do." So, basically, me and my friends are going to be recreating the "Evolution of Dance." I will be the one dancing, and my friends will be filming at editing. Why did I post this? Well, me and my friends aren't how you say the most "knowledgeable" about 20th century dancing. We mainly want to modernize the "Evolution of Dance" video, giving it more of a new age feel. I need your guys' help picking out what dances and what songs we should do.

What we're adding now:

Moshing (Song yet to be decided)
Headbanging (Song yet to be decided)
Moonwalk (Beat it - Michael Jackson)
The "Usher" (Song yet to be decided - Usher)
Random Pop Dances (Songs yet to be decided - Gay Pop Bands along the lines of 98 Degrees, N*Sync, Backstreet Boys)
Snap Dance - (Lil John)
Lean Wit it Rock Wit it (D.F.B.)
Lean Back (Fat Joe)
Random Dancing (The Hamster Song)

Basically some crap by Wade Robson, with music yet to be decided.

I guess what I'm asking for is some ideas and inspiration as to what dances to do, and what music to play. Anything will help, as long as it's well known and looks insanely awesome =P

Here's the video in case you've been wondering what in the hell I was talking about:

Oh sweet the Evo of dance video is so awsome biggrin.gif
I was thinking you could do that thing where you're pretending to pull something in with your arms like in the Numa Numa - Ozone song(guy dancing on webcam)
That would be pretty cool smile.gif

    New age?
    Enigma - Return To Innocence

And don't forget the horrible plagues of music like: Aqua with Barbie Girl and The Ketchup Song and Crazy Frog.

Oh yea, Ketchup Song, the "new" Macarena =P

What I was actually thinking of doing was pausing in the movie, me acting all tired, and bringing my friend in to dance. He's in Hip-Hop, so he does all that crazy stuff. I'd be like, tired, go off the stage to get some water, and he hops in and shows me up with some breakdancing, backflips, eh.

Thanks for your suggestions guys =) Keep them coming. I'll update the list with what I officially have later today.

Thanks for the suggestion jpt, just don't think it'll work out, mainly because

    A) The dance isn't really well known, looks more like a gay porno, minus the guys =P
    B) The song isn't well known.

Basically I'm trying to get something that will relate to most modern audiences.

I'll post the list of songs, and just wait for the finished video =)

Edit@Icey: I've actually heard of them, but I was thinking something more along the lines of Shadows Fall. Basically anything will work, but I'll consider adding them into it =)

Put some DDR moves in there. I suggest a generic DDR song, like 1998 or B4U.

Yep, already got a plastic pad, I was actually thinking about A. or Holic, just because the beat is better =)

That video made my night...I think I saw some moves from MC Hammer that evolved into some present day hxc dances. lol.

I say that the Usher is a must because he's one of those immediately recognizable icons. Or Justin Timberlake. Basically the same guy, but the generic version. wink.gif
