So I'm being charged up the ASS for insurance... We're looking at 6.6K a barking year from Progressive. Seriously, the lowest I can find is about 4.5K a year and that's STILL a lot. My parents refuse to put me under their name.

I seriously don't get it. The Lexus GS 300 and Honda Odyssey EX (Top line) are BOTH insured for a TOTAL of 900$ a YEAR.

I'm looking at $4500 for a Honda Civic EX Coupe!! Yea, I'm 16 but COME ON, 5 times the insurance of TWO good cars?! WTF?!

Damn it -.-

Yay, I got to vent. Anyone else have shitty insurances?

It's because you are a younger driver, but that sure is a lot for insurance still. Also, I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but a higher GPA means lower insurance rates, this may not apply to you if you already have a decent GPA though. tongue.gif I can't think of anything else.

The Lexus is used by my dad to go to work / weekend shopping etc. The car my family uses if we go somewhere close.

The Odyssey is used for shopping. Used by my mom mostly. Fits a lot of people.

The Civic is my car. So I can get to places without having to mooch rides off other people.

I have a pretty good GPA. Still not understanding the high rates.

If you arent using two of them, why the hell are they insured under your name?

They aren't. The seperate insurance from AAA Texas is 900$ for those two cars under my name. I'm going to be put under a different insurance away from AAA Texas. I don't understand the logic, but w/e.

So you're paying additional insurance for cars you dont even own? That sounds completely ridiculous. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a breach of some law.

OK, I need insurance for my Civic. That's it.

It's going to cost $4500 a year. At best.

My parents have insurance for the Odyssey and Lexus... That's 900$ a year. Totally different from my insurance.

I'm not overlapping or anything, I won't be insured to drive the Lexus or the Odyssey.

Young guys with sports cars are the highest paying of the insurance groups. I'd hate to drive a sports car.

OK, they classified the Civic Coupe as a "sports car" which I think is stupid.

God, I'm going to go under liability for a bit instead of full comprehensive insurance so I better not get in an accident.
