Common Problems / Questions
neocodex(The Ultimate Autobuyer)

Questions

TOP FOUR QUESTIONS ASKED

1. What should I do if I get a Run-time error 13 - Type mismatch error?
Download and run the file here

2. What should I do if I get a Code: A905-Reference:-914 Warning: Codexcheck validation failed error?
Delete and redownload the program.
Sorry, the program is being fixed, and until the newer version is released, this error message will come up. It will be fixed as soon as possible. smile.gif

3. Who can main shop autobuy?
Private members and certain members that shabba allows to use will have access to main shop autobuying.

4. Can I see how many items I have priced so far?
If you are one of the top 10 pricers, you may view your current price total by going here. If you are not, sorry, but that information is not available to the public.

What is the most updated version?
v1.1.3

Where can I download the program?
http://www.neocodex....;download=10229

What should I do if I get a Runtime error 75 - Patch/file access error?
Delete and redownload the program.

What should I do if I get a Run-time Error '339' - Application-defined or object-defined error?
Delete and redownload the program.

What should I do if I get a Runtime error 7 - Out of Memory error?
This is normal, and usually happens when exiting. No worries. smile.gif

What should I do if I get a Run-time error '-2147418105 (80010007)': Application-defined or object-defined error?
This is normal, and usually happens when exiting.

What were the last 10 items priced?
http://www.sherbz.co...ast10priced.php

Who are the top 10 pricers?
http://www.sherbz.co...bauab/top10.php

Will more items be added to the database?
Yes, the next version will include more items in the database.

What is pricing?
This program prices each of the 15,283 items into an online database. In usershop buying mode, the program compares the prices found on the shop wizard with the price in the database. Depending on the user settings, the program will then decide whether to buy the item or not.

Is there a way to usershop buy without pricing?
Nope. Pricing is more beneficial in the long run, anyway, because if we did not price, the program would be relying on old price values to determine what to buy or not buy, resulting in loss of profit for everyone. So, price! biggrin.gif

How can I usershop buy?
This option is currently available to only a few members, because it is still in testing. It is not yet available to the public.
UPDATE: As of 1.1.1, usershop buying is available to everyone.

When usershop buying is available, will we be able to buy items with every account logged in?
Nope. Only one account will buy items, and the other accounts will price items.

Then what's the point of being logged in with more than one account?
An account will be able to buy items only after it prices a certain number of items. With more accounts pricing, items will be priced faster, meaning you will be able to buy more often.

Should I log in with the same Neopets account multiple times?
No, you should not. It will only get you wiz banned faster.

Can I open multiple instances of the program?
Yes, you can. Just make sure that you don't log into the same account twice.
UPDATE: Opening multiple instances of the program is no longer recommended because it increases the chances of your accounts freezing. Please open only one instance of the program at a time.

What is the freeze rate on this program?
It is quite low, as long as multiple logins and multiple instances of the program are not opened.
UPDATE: 1.1.1 fixes a major bug that caused several accounts to freeze. If you are running 1.1.0, please update immediately.

Why not make main shop buying available to everyone?
It's a matter of security. Have you wondered why so many other Neopets cheat forums were shut down? They all had autobuyers available to the public, and TNT threatened to press charges against them, so they were forced to remove the downloads. We wouldn't want that happening to Codex, now, would we? smile.gif

I'm getting random items in my inventory. Is that normal?
You probably got them from random events. smile.gif xZel posted an image of his inventory after running this program:

clicky

It shows that this program is profitable, even without usershop buying. tongue.gif

Problems

Why is my CPU Usage is at 100%?
This is an issue with v1.0.8; shabba fixed this in another version that is not released to the public yet.
UPDATE: Fixed in 1.1.0

Why don't the dailydoer options work?
They have not been added yet. Right now, there is just a greyed-out tab, but it will be functional in a later version. smile.gif

The program does not pause between searches moves on to the next item every two seconds. Is it okay to have it pricing that fast?
This is an issue with v1.0.8; shabba fixed this in another version that is not released to the public yet.
UPDATE: Fixed in 1.1.0

Why is the database pricing stuck at 79.71%?
The remaining 20.29% are items that were not found on the Shop Wizard. Almost all of these are unbuyables. shabba will eventually fix this. biggrin.gif

Why does the status bar sometimes say "Finished pricing xD"?
This shows up when the program has gone through all the items in the database. It should start to price items again. If it doesn't, exit and reopen the program.

Does this program handle wiz bans?
Not yet in the public version. In the newest version (not yet released), the program handles wiz bans.
UPDATE: Fixed in 1.1.0

Does this program handle faerie quests?
Not yet in the public version, but the good news is: it doesn't need to! The program can still price even when you have a faerie quest. How does it get around this? Who knows? tongue.gif The newest version (not yet released) handles faerie quests.
UPDATE: Fixed in 1.1.0

If you have any other questions, please post them here or in the Program discussion thread here.

Looks like a great guide. I just have one question about this.

Why not make it available to everyone?
It's a matter of security. Have you wondered why so many other Neopets cheat forums were shut down? We wouldn't want that happening to Codex, now, would we?

I know that leeching and other things are a problem, but on what charge can neopets sue any website? Just kinda want to know the law that is no hacking neopets...

They don't mention suing in their Terms, but I know several websites that had to be shut down because TNT sent them warnings. Maybe they were serious, maybe it was a scare tactic. It's better not to take the risk smile.gif

I think they could probably get Codex under the assisting to design programs clause... whistling.gif

Thanks so much shin! This is wicked tongue.gif

And Tr3v0r are you stupid or something. If you actually read what Shin wrote, then you would realise that pricing is beneficial to everyone, if no items are priced then they become out dated and that means it will buy items that are rubbish!

Close the program. tongue.gif If you have four accounts logged in but want to log out of one without logging out of the other three, there's no choice but to close the program and log in with the three accounts.

Are you sure that you have all the necessary codexcheck and controlpad files?
