Naw I think the future brings hope
From a realistic point of view it's hard for me to see that =/
With nuclear weapons pointing towards the sky and with every day bringing more articles about the decline of our climate or education or health...Maybe it's all in my head
I do have hope and thats my reason for living...however hope often fails to bring about..reality

At this poitn and time, those things don't directly affect that way we live our lives. My best advice was to try and blank all the bullshit and stories that the media present in front of your eyes. If the news will sell they will always have stupid stories to scare people out of living their own lives. I'm 18 with a year and a half old daughter, you don't think I was scared at 16 with a kid? I definitely was, but look at me now, making 6 digit salary/year. I'm just confident and pushy..
Im sorry if I seem to be offensive but you're 18, you have a daugher and you make a 6 digit salary..what are you doing on a site like codex? I suppose how do you find the time would be an appropriate question as well.

I've been thinking about it recently. I've come to realise how petrified I am of my future. Im finishing high school and I have no clue what I want to do in life or where it will take me or what will happen to my parents or my sister....

I personally cant wait for my future, after i get out of school, i go to college, four years later i come back, and then my employer will higher me again, for 65-75$ an hour, starting!
Not with spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes like that, they won't.

I am not afraid in the least bit about my future. There have been many instances in my past where I have been involved in some stupid activity that I wished I could get out of and I simply prayed to God that he help me, and somehow and in some way, a door opened which made things so easy. Everything was taken care of for me. This is just one instance out of a thousand that I can bring up. But the point is, that God always takes care of you. In the area of school and tests, I follow this philosophy: "Try your best and leave it to God for the rest" - It has taken me so far
I would say to not be afraid of your future at all. Hindsight is 20/20 and therefore you can see all that has happened to you. If you look back, nothing too bad has happened, and if it has, it has probably turned out for the best this way or will do so soon. If you were fearing through that, you would look now and think you were stupid for worrying so much. This is the case you will be in in a few years when you look at yourself now. So dont worry at all
If you are worried about your parents' lives, thats normal but to the extent that when they step outside the house you are worried if they will come back alive, is not. You have to understand that you cant live worried like that. Soon, you will start to worry so much that you cant breathe. You just have to accept that every person will die at some point in time. Although we treat it like something uncertain, it is very certain that every soul will taste death. Now you have to accept that when that soul tastes death, it was that soul's time and it was decreed by God that he/she should conclude his test at that time. Understand that God is the Most Beneficient and whatever He does is good and therefore it is for the best for everyone. We may not understand everything that God does and that is completely normal. It is not for us to understand since the moment that you accept that humans are limited in some way or form (which you must or you are crazy) then you accept that God's actions may be difficult for us to understand sometimes.
My advice to you is just have faith that God will protect you and let Him be sufficient for you

Though I'm not afraid to die, I do believe that I could die at any moment, leaving many unfinished things I want to do in my lifespan. I guess the thought of not knowing what could happen 10 minutes from now makes me afraid. I just play life as it's dealt to me.
