There actually is talk about tera-forming Mars. It could take only a few hundred years according to NOVA We would have giant factories producing greenhouse gasses to warm up the planet which would melt the ice caps and hopefully water beneath the surface. Then plants would hopefully be able to grow and mabey eventually Mars would be suitable for human habitation.

Yea agreed, but a swiss knife is one better thats why I picked it. Just cause Im going to a different planet, doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to clip my nails among other things xD

I'd use the knife to build a large house out of trees and foliage...and then use to sharpen things to hunt with.

I'd say my boyfriend but he isn't an object and since it's a ship to another planet it'd be safe to assume unless he died he is still there. Honestly though... I'd bring a medical dictionary with cures and such. I'm going to try to be actually useful and besides... to me at least that kind of stuff is very interesting.

That's why I would bring a gun. Their would be a new sheriff in town. I like to think that I would attempt to keep order and be productive, but yeah weird shit happens when weird shit happens.

If the planet had other life forms; a box of condoms, we got AIDS from monkeys, who knows what wierd diseases you could catch from those sexy aliens.

If the planet didn't have other life forms; well, I'd die of starvation since nothing is growing there, and there's no food or anything, so probably a bag of mushrooms or acid, just overdose on acid laughing at hallucinations as I slowly die of starvation.

I would also take a soccer ball, though the fear of me kicking it a tad too far and losing it in outer space is probably enough to deter me from that idea. I think a few art supplies would do. A sketchbook and some typical drawing resources would be perfect. That, or one of the most confusing books on the planet which I could spend my whole life annotating.
