I find it funny when a kid can't solve a simple equation. I blame the kids. They don't pay attention.. and then expect to understand it!

Copying is a major dilemna in all of my classes. If over half the class did not copy from me in some way their grades would be ranging from the 20's-30's. It agitates me that if they see an answer on my paper then raise their hand and say it that the teacher praises them while the said student says over and over "I'm so smart".
You shouldn't get angry over such a senseless thing. You being an intelligent individual, I would've thought that you would overlook something like this
But anyways
Your skool sounds like an easy skool I'd want to go to, because I'm not very smart myself

I've never been to a private school, but my public school never had any major problems with students cheating, drug use, et cetera.
The grades were high, it wasn't bad at all. I've made it through college, studying to be a surgeon. Really, it's the same thing nowadays.
My town really has never had any problem with public schools, and most children attend them.
There is only a few private schools in the town, and most of them have worse test scores than the public ones.
Most of these factors depend on where you live.
Of course, if you live in a large city and go to a lower-end school, you may end up encountering dull people. While private schools in that same city may have bright children. (Or rich, dull children.
)
I live in a decent sized town, of maybe...100,000?
, a large majority of them Cal Poly students...the private schools are expensive, and only rich children attend them. Money can buy brilliant teachers, but it cannot force the child to learn. The only reason the teachers really...teach at the private schools is the high paycheck. They are quite unmotivated, because there are no better teachers in the county.
While the teachers are the public schools must teach well, or they could lose their job.
Blah, blah.

Uh, no. For the record, I live in a large city and go to an innercity (sp) school.
1. Teachers at public schools will many times be payed just as well or better than those that teach at private schools.
2. There is something called the "Teacher's Union" or something along those lines. They protect the jobs of public school teachers so it is very very hard to fire a public school teacher. I've seen many more private school teachers be fired then public school teachers.
3. "They are quite unmotivated, because there are no better teachers in the county. "
What?
4. Your sig says "Strike while the iron is hot" which means that you need to use opportunities when they are ripe. It does not mean that it will hurt more to be hit with hot iron than cold iron.. Although I'm sure it does hurt more.

I blame it partially on the students, and partially on the teachers.
Just recently my chemistry and physics teacher had to leave because of pregnancy (8 months into it) and we have a supply teacher for this week. She knows nothing about chemistry, or physics (new unit). Her explanation for why 0.03 and 0.3 both only have 1 significant digit was "because 0.03 is 3 over 100 and 0.3 is 3 over 10." She also doesn't answer your questions at all, just ignores you. I can say with positivity that my grade has gone down by about 5% since we've had her.
Then I have computer engineer, the teacher is amazing. He answers all your questions, if you dont understand something he'll keep on trying to get you to understand it for however long it takes, even if he needs to do it after school. Then theres a few students in my class that don't understand "connect the carry out of the first 7483 to the carry in of the second 7483." I mean, how hard can it be to take a wire and connect it to 2 pins? All tests are open-book and I see people still getting around 60% on them. I don't understand why, all the answers are in the notes he gives us.

I go to private school and there is TONS! of copying/cheating. About 10% of the kids actually do their own homework and the other 90 either copy or don't do anything then cheat on the tests. Theres this one kid in my class who got a perfect SAT score but only goes to class like 3 times a week MAX. He just stays home and does acid and other drugs and on the drugs issue weed is a HUGE thing in our school. Only a few kids mess with harder drugs but many kids bake out before school or during lunch. I just think its brought on by what the student previous got away with and just snowballs bigger making the situation worst.
