Or maybe it's because gay people are over promiscious?
Oh wait it is.

Yes, and lets say a girl walks past a builders yard, shes gonna get all the wolf whistles and dirty name calling. It's basically the same with homosexuals.

Dirty breed.

Eh. Most of the homos around my town are dicks. The lesbians are really nice and stuff, but the gay guys act like they are better than everybody else.

I could hang around gay people as long as they aren't flamboyant. Flamboyantly gay people bug the shit out of me.

I seriously want to strangle anyone who thinks just because someone is gay they are going to hit on them. They are people too, you know. They're not going to barking rape you, or try to rub you. Well sure there might be some people out there like that, but there are straight people who do that too. Because surprise surprise, gay people are people too!! *waves hands*

Honestly, the people who answered no to this sicken me FAR FAR more than seeing two guys making out.

Who here assumed that all gay guys always hit on guys? blink.gif If a gay guy happens to hit on me, I'd tell him to knock it off. I'm not automatically assuming all gays do the same and avoid them altogether.

The point is that it's a bit silly to be concerned about the possibility. And aside from that, the reason most people say it in situations like this is because they're nervous about what people think about them, so they have to just make extra sure that everyone knows they aren't gay by saying "as long as he doesn't hit on me."

To everyone that says that... We know you aren't gay. We know you'd say no if a gay guy hit on you. There's no reason to explicity state that you'd be friends with a gay guy as long as he doesn't hit on you, because believe it or not gays are people that do have regular friends that they don't have sex with.

It's just kind of a silly thing to say. tongue.gif Especially because it's the stereo-typical thing for guys to say that aren't comfortable talking about homosexuality without fearing that someone thinks they're gay for it.

I'm not trying to belittle people here, but c'mon, the big bad homosexuals are not waiting around the next corner waiting to try and make a move on you.

It's a given with any friendship that hitting on someone you're friends with can change a friendship, possibly for the worse. There's just no reason to explicitly state something that can go for any friendship as a specific condition for friendships with gays.

I wouldn't, because I'd be extremely uncomfortable, but if I found out that a long-term friend was, I guess I might be able to go with it, as long as they don't hit on me tongue.gif

Same for me. If a friend turned out gay I would still hang out with him as long as he didnt act gay in public and embarass me

No. I'm not a suck up smile.gif His post WAS funny. And I laughed.

Same opinion as me, mobster smile.gif

If I had a long time friend and JUST found out he was gay, alright. Fine, I'll keep hanging around, unless he becomes blatantly gay, like a massive attitude change. I don't purposely meet gay people, though, and if I knew someone was gay, I -probably- wouldn't start hanging out with them.

Just to let you know, whenever a topic like this comes up, if you say something like "as long as he doesn't hit on me", I'm laughing at you. biggrin.gif It's obviously better than the people that hate gays, but it's still laughably homophobic tongue.gif

Indeed. 100 bucks says that not many people here that are straight got hit on by a gay guy once in their life.

Yes, I have never been 'hit on' by a guy.
But I don't see really how it is such a big deal. While I agree with what most people on the board think I would definitely have to point to mungy's post on my views. In my school most of the gay people are more antisocial to my... type. As in jock/pimp you know. (Not really <__<) so I never really hang out with them. It turned out that one of my best friends in 6th grade "came out" last year or something when I was not currently at that school. I have since come back in the 10th grade (happy.gif) and now we still talk moderately but not nearly as much as we used to talk. I still like him though. I have to be honest that when he kisses his boyfriend and I see him, it just says something to me and I just get this weird feeling and I dont really like it. lol have fun reading the post?

I'd rather be hit on by a gay guy then a 12 year old girl.

Trust me I'm kiddie bait around here, they can't get enough of me. It's WRONG!

almost everyone iv ever talked to has one, this gay azn manager @ KFC has a lisp smile.gif pretty much every gay guy that has been gay for a while, and is somewhat old (30+) will have a lisp, only reason so many dont is because they're young and haven't turned full on gay yet

Thats not true. There is a gay US Government teacher in my school, and you wouldn't know he was gay unless he told you. He doesn't have a lisp.(He went to Harvard btw) Nor do like 5 other gay people that I know in my school. There's only one kid with a feminine voice, but it's not a lisp.
