I took my first test today, and it seriously screwed with my head. Is it seriously supposed to be THAT hard?

The test was divided up into conceptual and problem solving parts. We started off with the conceptual and I was just thinking "this shouldnt be too bad." Then I started on the problem solving, and it was going well until the middle of it. Seriously, these problems were like freaking riddles. It goes beyond simply visualizing and applying equations to solve it.

I'm just ranting, but that stuff was freaky.

    welcome to my degree smile.gif

its supposed to be like that, cuz the stuff is weird to begin with. What with magnetic fields, B fields, A and H fields within those fields.... and all up, visualising doesnt help cuz half of them dont really exist and cant be measured anyway.

Ahh electro physics, where would we be without you?

(Not online, thats for sure tongue.gif )

One question since I'm still a young learner:

Will I ever apply this stuff to fields such as Electrical Engineering (my desired major smile.gif )

I took a college prep physics class in HS. I seriously regret not paying more attention now when I still need it. But oh.... physics teachers can really be boring if they're NOT experimenting and just lecturing.

it is infact helpfull, its important when it comes to inductors, and the effect of an entire circuit loop on nearby circuits.

also an important factor if you choose to build yourself a rail gun ( devil.gif devil.gif devil.gif )

its not easy tho. I'm having difficulty, but its the mathmatics that get me, the physics is easy by comparison. Trust me.

Physics is gross, it poses as maths, but has mutated into some evil formulated mess with particles and nuclear power. >-<

    Sooooo glad I dropped it.

Haha thats so true. I just plug in random formulas for my exams and I have 100% in ap physics xD

thats why physics is better than maths. They give you all the formulas you need, math expects you to know/derive it.

Tis very true, do as you are told, cuz the teacher probably doesnt get it either!

Do you ever get a formula book in physics? I never had one, maths you get one and there aren't even many to remember, maths is better! tongue.gif

chemistry is much harder than physics. In Chem you have to do the calculations AND do experiments to prove your numbers are right. In physics you just have to do the calculations.

Good on everyone doing physics, its not as bad as people make it sound. Not like Algebra. That is as bad as it sounds shifty.gif

i find algebra simple lol and hate physics

too many formulas, we just did ohms law and non hmic conductors. hate it.
