Emergency responders found Lidle's passport in the street below, the officials said.

First 9/11 terrorist passports...now this...

WTF do they make those things out of?!

I'm only laughing because the LooseChange kids just lost another one of their arguments.

Loose change is laughable at best.

Anyways, it is kind of crazy how people were like "It was exactly a month and five years after 911! You can probably link any even to some tragic even afterall...

Well, it would have been 61 months, and 6+1 equals 7. And 7 is very important.

I heard on CNN that every terrorist attack happens on anniversary of an event in history. like 9/11 was the anniversary of a signning of a treaty in saudia arabia.

    I think this is interesting...

A Yankees player died! YAY! Go Sox go!

    Thats terrible.
Guys, if you don't know, this wasnt a terrorist attack. Corey Lidle, a pitcher of the Yankees, I think had engine failure and drove his plane into the building when he couldnt land I guess.
All I'm going to say if I hope youre sarcastic Urban because this guy had a wife and child too, and cheering that just because he was a Yankees player.. ugh.

    Meh from what I've heard...

There where up to 4 deaths. The pilot, Yankees pitcher Cory Lidel, had sent out a distress signal. Some investegators attributing part of it to low lying clouds, but aren't sure. Lidel's passport want found. It was not a terroristic act from what they can tell. No evidence suggests the backing of an attack as far as anyone knows. Of course, its a bit early to know what all is true. I honestly doubt its terrorism. I do actually belive it's an accident. Sure it's eerie and very sad, but think, even if it was still thought to be terrorism, why would you attack an appartment building. Not much was there but some sick people.

The article I posted said Cory Lidel was the only person on board, therefore the pilot 1we8.gif He bought this plane, according to the article I posted, for $165,000 or something like that, right after earning his pilots liscense.

Urban, that was uncalled for. Elfonso wouldnt even say something that bad 1we8.gif Which reminds me, I havent seen him in a while 1we8.gif

Nox- Its a single engine plane, there is always the possibility that something WILL go wrong. Has your car ever had a problem? Well thats what happened with the engine.

Reason for accident: I mean there is a whole lot of buildings if you're havin in accident in that area you might hit one blink.gif

Reason for on purpose: hmm 20th floor kinda seems middle of building so kinda targetted and piloting a small plane that precise is fairly ez

my sympathy goes out to the guys who died especially and then those who lost stuff. i try to see the good in people rather then jump and yell conclusions and point fingers and pull out the weirdest relationships like the dam media dry.gif

The guy was a millionaire with a family blink.gif No reason to commit suicide. I bet he was gonna sign a 2-3 year 10 million dollar contract soon anyway. That plane (model) had a history of accidents too..

I feel bad for him. After learning more about this, I started feeling worse and worse about it. My brother explained the whole thing to me (he's a private pilot, instrument rated). Hope his family is doing ok.

10m contract? cory lidle was a shitty pitcher, i think he was traded off nearly every year in his career.

anyways, flying small jets over manhatten is currently illegal&air traffic is blocked.

Good. Perhaps nothing like this incident will occur again :\ Seriously though... I would think that'd be a law before. Also they really need to do something about that plane sad.gif

The shittiest pitchers make that kind of money. Thats about 3.3 mil a yr. Heck, if Wright can make 7 mil for his garbage, Lidle can certainlky make 3.3. Baseball players make too much money, you know that.
