    Tip 1: Paths tool
    Tip 2: Curvature
    Tip 3: Hair strands

Not bad, but seriously - Lineart is about minimising detail. Curvy lines ftw. Paths tool is the end all thing for lineart and anything else concerning lines.

Decent job with the eyes - again, paths tool ftw here. You've got the pupils nailed, but lineart is mainly lines only - refrain from keying in the eyes in the future.

Try it using the paths tool, and show me the result.

I was using the pen tool and my limited bezier skill. I had no clue what to do with the har i though it just looked too plain otherwise. I forgot eyelashes but do i need them? Whats the difference between pahts and what i used? Oh the hair was just freehand because by that point I was tired ^^

Paths (pen, whatever) has a nice curving-to-point effect you should utilize for hair. Honestly, it takes eons to be good at pathing - i've been doing it for a month and a half and i'm still pretty bad at it.

My current's render is a quick-lineart which you can do through filters, but it's not as good as the handmade one.

You cant just use the pen tool. You have to clean up with the eraser after. So its smooth.

What are you talking about? lol

You don't need to clean up things with the pen tool, unless you make a mistake then you need to.

Edit: And even if you do make a mistake, just undo the line, then redo it the proper way.

If you've got a whole stream of lines, delete the one thats causing the problem and fix it. If you know how.

Why does everyone have to contradict shit I say? Yes you do. Everything with line art you should clean up with the eraser.

Big deal. Somebody disagreed with you. Reinforcing your point further makes you look like an asshole. Don't forgot the person you disagree with has an opinion too. If you cant take the criticism, don't post. So sorry.

hoju's right. The pen/paths tool is pretty linear - you shouldn't need to smoothen things out if you use it correctly.

    Calm down, Balmung.
Maybe that's just the way Hoju is, okay, if he sees a wrong piece of information, he corrects it. Nothing wrong with that, if anything, it's benefiting feonix from using a harder method.

Feonix - Go read some tutorials on the pen tool. When you do curves, you CAN just make a whole load of points but you wont get a smooth result as if you did it properly; in one path.

Come on guys. Lets get this back on track and less of the flaming.

I just wanted to say that when you out line the hair don't do every single strain of hair. Just outline clumps of hair (for extreme examples check generic anime characters).

    imho.
